Oversight - wip AEON Sabish mod Porting Skin

Any plan on doing the same thing for the movie wall ? (even something only similar, like the background and the font/titles)

I believe this kind of look is exactly what makes people choose other jukebox than oversight (which is the best, of course )
I'm dying to see it in action on my pch !

I'm feeling the urge to pick this up at some point, once I've finished my MVC 2 work. It'll probably be a few months before I can really dig into it and I'll probably release a skin which is just the wall to start with, using standard views for TV & Movie and then expand it in pieces. Thoughts?

So Tiefling is this a realistic look for Oversight?

I think it's achievable - It'll need a lot of deconstruction work so I'll probably start at a basic level and work up. (Start with basic images and layout, then start adding bits of eye candy. Things like boxes and stuff may be a little tricky but we'll have to see how it goes. Oversight currently would only ever show one case type even if I can make that work. Reflections are probably not too easy to do either due to Oversight being dynamic. I wouldn't expect a great deal from the first few releases but I think it could be great given time.

My only concern with it is whether it will pay off long term. There seems to be more and more of a move towards the flash base interfaces and I'm not sure how that will affect Oversight long term. Personally I find the straight HTML interfaces much faster. The flash stuff seems to run like a snail on my C-200; but view seems mixed on this.

I'm currently using YAMJ and Oversight side by side (depending on content type) so if I can make the interfaces the same then that would be ideal. I'm hoping that my YAMJ files will give me most of what I need to make it work. The TV stuff is definitely going to be the hardest bit and may require some rework in the main Oversight development on @lordy's end which, given the next version is still in alpha, may take a while.

I'm also hoping that the alpha period has moved over to testing before I start work on this. Ideally I'd be developing this skin against what will become Oversight 2.0, so it can start driving the UI side of development towards Oversight 3.0 (with 2.0 bringing customisable UIs and Themes etc. and 3.0 bringing more individual styled UIs). I need to get back in touch with lordy and start hacking about again but, as I mentioned in my earlier post, I'm skilling up for work stuff at the moment which has to take priority so hopefully I can have a play in a few months.

I dunno what happened to Senaxx at all; If he wants to get in on the action again too then that would be great.

Somehow I've ended up in this thread again... After almost a year of silence... and that deserve's an explanation. I was busy developing this skin and something terribly happened in my personal life. This took so much of my personal time that I had to quit my job as a programmer and focus on the things happening. About 2 month's later I've moved and sold my PCH, and re-bought an ATV2 with XBMC. So no development done after what I've showed

But since i'm not satisfied with my ATV2 with XBMC (beautifull gui, but it lacks power for serious streaming) So i'm back in the market for a PCH and so eventually back in for Oversight v2 Who knows... Currently I still have my ATV2, but i'm looking for something to replace it with.

There was some talking about a PCH with Xbmc (official WIP from PCH not the ejp fake) release some while ago? So maybe i'll wait it out, otherwise i'll buy a PCH again and start developing for Oversight...
