Control4 Driver for IP Control
I've seen some very old threads on this topic.
Summary seemed to be that it could be done, if someone would go do it. These threads were quite old, but I am hoping someone has built a driver since then. Any news? |

RE: Control4 Driver for IP Control
what series player? the 200 series has a port open that excepts commands. Im sure the control4 system allows you to make your own scripts correct?

I was thinking for any series. But I did not realize that the 200 had a port open. Is there any documentation I can collect on that? |

RE: Control4 Driver for IP Control
this thread should have all the info in it
http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...light=port its how people make android/iphone remotes for the pch. and here is the info for the 100/110 series. its a little different as you have to have telnet installed but still works the same way http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...ing_Telnet |

RE: Control4 Driver for IP Control
Ok. Got it. So while I haven't read through this entire thread, I think there is still a missing component. I think I need to be able to tell the PCH to play a certain file via a command. The controls outlined here are just for navigation. (i think). Can I pass a filename or URL and tell the PCH to play it?

Can I pass a filename or URL and tell the PCH to play it? As of right now you cant. it was possible on the 100/110 but no one has figured it out on the 200 series. If its the same file every time you could make an html file with an link and could navigate to it through telnet pretty easy. |

RE: Control4 Driver for IP Control
Have a look at PLoNK and llink (both are in the CSI) - the two combined can pass url's for playback.
PLoNK features a small C-daemon called 'peach', which is the bridge, while llink is the engine, so to speak. Audio, video, disco - I hear, I see, I learn. Wiki. Wiki? Wiki! |
