SYNK - The rsync GUI for your NAS/Networked Media Tank
SYNK is a graphical user interface / GUI for rsync. The look & feel has been taken from Zynk which is a GTK+ based program. But this program built with PHP & javascript and runs over a web browser.

v1.0.0 Features:
1. Save/retrieve project files. The project file will have a saved settings of rsync with additional options (including username & host etc.). You can open the included example.synk file under _data directory and you can change to your needs.
2. You can run dryrun before running the actual sync.
3. Sync can be cancelled at anytime. If you don't want to wait, you can even close the browser, the sync will run in background. But can't be cancelled/killed.

TODO:
1. Password not yet implemented. You can do it manually via telnet shell.

Thanks a lot for this tool. Can you make this for A110? I need this for my eGreat M31B (similar to A110).

May be a scheduler or auto sync also can be added in the later versions.

Once the concept is proved, can we extend this to remote back up to some cloud storages like skydrive/adrive?

I was waiting for this tool for a long time.

Had someone ask the other day on the forum for a rsync GUI for maintaining a back of their HDD on their NAS. This would be very useful if it is simple to use. Heck I'll test it and if I can get it working then it will be simple enough.

rsync is not there in ipkg list for A110

I have utilities package installed already. I dont' know how to check whether rsync is there or not. but when I tried SYNK web interface my crome gave error "Oops! This link appears to be broken"

Update: GUI is loaded in IE. Will post the results once I test

From the title of this thread I assume SYNC App is same for C200 & A110.

It's not your fault, I see the developer has posted a thread in the 100 series section that leads to this thread in the 200 series section and has entitled the thread for all players.

Its not something that we do as it leads to confusion big time. The folders and locations are different and the hardware connotations also . It causes issues as a reader with one type of player reads a post and trys things that would only work on a different player.
