Some can tell better if audio is in sync or not.

The point is it's very subjective and hard to test for consistently and reliably.

Like I responded earlier, it's too late to test for features since the firmware will be released within a couple of days.

We'll accept new requests once we start the next cycle of beta firmware.

Thanks.

Okey I see.

I just bought my C-200 yesterday, so im new to this. It was between that and the XTREAMER PRO, hope I did right going with the C-200.
So to the problem, if I put VideoSignal To AUTO and FramerateSync to OFF then the BD iso will play fine, in sync and no problem. But if I put it to 1080p 60 Hz or 1080p 24 Hz and FramerateSync to NTSC/24Hz or NTSC/PAL/24hz then it will be out of sync.

Im testing "Transformers.Revenge.of.the.Fallen.2009.MULTi.COMPLETE.BLURAY-HDi"

and the videospec says:

RESOLUTiON...: 1920 x 1080 PROGRESSiVE
ASPECT.RATiO.: 24 fps 2.40:1

So is there any way i can get 24p without any syncproblem, since the movie and my tv supports it?

Thanks

RE: Beta Tester Requests
Hi I'd like to be a beta tester for the a-200 platform. I use my a-200 on a SD TV on 16:9 picture ratio - I don't think the popcorn hour is tested enough on SD TVs so I may be able to help out on that front...

RE: Beta Tester Requests
Hi, thanks for your offer, but there is no beta program for the A200, the A200 firmwares are based off the C200 beta program and only tested internally before release. Also, this thread is not for beta tester applications.

Put the Videosignal and the FramerateSync to the exact native specs of your Display.
If you display is not natively 24fps but requires processing to handle 24fps, the processing time is what you notice in audio sync delay.

RE: Beta Tester Requests
Hi Testers,
this week my A-200 hung, due to a problem. I wonder if this has been discovered before.

I tried to delete a folder via the file menu (mark it and then remove it). First I had to wait (hour glass thing was circling) it stopped responding, I had to reset my PCH.
This was caused by a file in the folder that was read-only (644). After removing it I could also remove the folder.

Allthough it might be right that I can not remove the folder, and it is not a major bug, it should not stop responding IMO.

Is this a known bug and is it solved in the coming firmware?
It might not be that urgent, but I like to report this anyway.
Regards, Deepak.

BTW, this is also posted in the C-200 firmware thread but clear that it isn't the right place....

Thanks for the feedback.

This IMHO isn't a bug but a permissions problem. When your A200 "hung" during file transfers, it caused some problems in the hard drive partition table. I would remove the drive and plug in a PC with Linux to clean it like one would clean a windows drive using chkdsk.

Hi Dave_D,
thanks for your response.
Actually, I removed the file via FTP, no big deal. After the reset and the delete via FTP the problem was solved.

Allthough it can be explained and it is a faulty situation, the PCH should not crash, so my suggestion is to improve the way these kind of situations are handled. See it as a change request.

Regards, Deepak

I have some similar situations as yours. I approximate it happened to me 2x over the course of 2 years during ownership of various PCH products.

For now I made my life easier going NTFS because it's easier for a home environment to support. Not all users are fluent with linux. With USB NMT Apps, it made supporting them easier coz' there's always a windows machine within reach.

Thanks for the feedback.

yossihal

Could you please post a sample/reference directory name to use?

"This is an example in hebrew", from Google translate:
זוהי דוגמה של עברית

<- is that correct for use?

EDIT: How do you create the folders: via FTP, SMB or by other means?

Put the right settings in the NMT and it would certainly help!

What are the specs of your TV set? Does it do 1080p? Does it do 24p? Does it do bothe PAL and NTSC? Set your resolution output to the correct setting, NOT AUTO and autoframerate accordingly. Read the WIKI if you arent sure:-
