I moved from http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...?tid=51524 to this thread since my issue is more YAMJ related.
I have already tried your script and it worked perfectely - many thanks for that!
But... it didn't work for the "exit"-link (PCH browser). For that I allways have to use the structure http://localhost.drives:8883/USB_DRIVE_B-1/ or similar (which brings me back to the USB renaming problem).
I tried file:///MYYAMJ/Volumelabel and some variations but never got the PCH browser. Has anybody ever tried that with success?

At least for A/C200 PCHs it's now possible to use file:///Volumelabel or file:///Volumelabel/folder as without a script, but still not for exiting to the PCH browser.

I have been using this script for my external hard drive with yamj and sabishGT but i am thinking of upgrading to eversion due to the flash and forthcoming firmware updates.
Will this mod continue to work with eversion?, so I can plug my hard drive into pc and update movies, scan yamj then plug back into popcorn hour a200 like it has been working flawlessly with the html skins? 'Cheers

eversion has so many options no other skin has for paths and mounting, this script will not work but you do not need it to work..

Thanks for the link. I just don't understand in which file specificaly I need to change my USB HDD's to begin with "ev-usb://drivename/the rest of your path".

is it in my_library.xml?

There is no real need for this script anymore eversion has usb drive naming built in
