Blu-ray on C-200 from S-video
I have a legacy (analog) TV. I would like to play blu-ray DVDs from a C-200 using the S-video output. I understand the composite outputs are not compatible.
Can I get a picture (obviously standard def.) from the s-video on the C-200? Best regards -- A |

RE: Blu-ray on C-200 from S-video
That's the way I am looking. In fact without BD-player, but only from the net: Any video file I am starting will be displayed via S-Video on my analog Sony TV.

Dieten -- Are you saying you have videos from the net working from s-video? Or are you saying you also would like to know if it works?

RE: Blu-ray on C-200 from S-video
the first: Since I only use the S-Video connection I can tell, that any videofile I have (from my NAS via UPnP, from my NAS via SMB, from the internet) will display via S-Video on my TV. If a video does not display, it is not a matter of the S-Video connector but a matter of the codec within the PCH.

Do you have Blu-Ray playing from the C-200 via S-video? Anyone know if this is possible?

RE: Blu-ray on C-200 from S-video
IIRC Bluray is over HDMI only i believe, if not then its HDMI and Component.
It is only available over the HD outputs, not SD outputs. all other video formats are available over all outputs, this include 1080p MKV, m2ts, ts, ISO, vob, etc. PCH C-200 160GB 2.5 HDD + Back to Basics + Aeon Indiana + Boxme / Sabish Low list -> HDMI -> Samsung LN46A650 C200 -> Toslink -> Logitech Z-5500 (Harmony 550) PCH A-200 300GB HDD + gfb107-sd -> Svideo -> 37" SDTV PCH A-100 8GB CF Solution + gfb107-sd -> Svideo -> 27" SDTV Windows Home Server 7TB |
