"Could not Play" / "Request cannot be processed"
I have a lot of problems when viewing movies online from my popcorn hour c200. I Just bought it (with HD and Blu-Ray) and have the latest firmware: "c200 02-02-100428-19-POP-408". For example when i go to MSP Community -> Apple Trailers, not a single video will play (could not play error) no matter what type of video (SD-large / small, HD 1080p, ...). Or when i try to open a GT (GameTrailer.com) movie ... it loads a while and then ... nothing happens.
When I stream a video from my laptop with VLC (using HTTP, MMS, RTSP, ...) and try to open it with the c200, bam! ... "could not play". I know the streaming works (I can open it from a different computer) but somehow the c200 refuses to play it. I tried different video formats, but without any success. Can anyone here please enlighten me what's going on here? I was told that the popcorn hour c200 was a machine that could handle the most video formats. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! |

RE: "Could not Play" / "Request cannot be processed"
A lot of the MSP apps are currently broken I think there is a thread around here somewhere. But streaming from vlc should be fine. can you post a link to what you are trying to stream.

RE: "Could not Play" / "Request cannot be processed"
The msp section is about to get really small.. It's actually a community section of the player where users made and updated those features and they have disapeared and no longer update them..

I changed the text in the main post for prevent other readers from getting confused. Thanks for pointing this out. So lets put the MSP apps aside for a moment since most of them are broken anyways, and focus on the streaming. On my laptop I have a webserver installed with in the root: "stream.html" The content of this file is as follows: Code: <html>Now I start streaming a video from my laptop using multiple formats and multiple protocols. I verify if the streaming goes well by opening the stream on a different laptop. When that works I try to open the stream on the popcorn hour c200. I tried the following settings: It says "could not play", then the c200 shows loading sceen (thats weird right?) It starts loading, and finally the c200 says: "could not play" It loads, and then shows a black screen ... nothing happens not even after a few minutes. Loads and then says "could not play" Loads and then shows me a black screen (nothing happens even after a few minutes) Loading, could not play Tells me direct that it "could not play" I tried this one again, this time with my webcam as video source.![]() Yay this one works~!!! after a lot of trying. But this one has a huge downside. Most videos cannot be streamed with MPEG1/2. For most video's VLC gives an error like: Code: [12f7f75c] main decoder error: cannot create packetizer output (mp4a) MPEG1/2 does not support 13978/583 fpsSo not I know a LOT of ways of that don't work. can anyone tell me the right settings so it does work? Atleast is there someone who is successfully able to stream video (from multiple formats, like webcam stream and H264 video file) from his computer to the c200? |
