Now, new bug fixing firmwares for c200 should be called "never coming" [Features].
![]() And the real features?... hmm,hmm
C200 (MB rev. 0946) --> HDMI --> Harman Kardon AVR 255 (firmware 0.98.3.1) --> HDMI --> Samsung LE32R71B C200: internal 2,5” 640GB HDD, Lite-On iHOS104, All audio RAW pass through. |

Maybe I don’t understand the problem, but if you put your PHC on „ACTUAL SIZE“ with „ZOOM“ button on your remote and your TV on 16:9 mode then your TV is upscaling movie? Upscaling is good on PHC.

Upscaling is good on PHC. The PCH upscaling has been admitted as being not as good as it could be. The request is so that people with external scalers can use them instead. If I'd paid serious money for an external one to sit between the PCH and the projector, I wouldn't want the PCH to upscale for me. We all want more from our PHC. It gives more options then most players on the market. I don’t think that other players have flexibility like PHC. If this will improve PHC more than I am for it.
+1 PHC A200

RE: [Feature Req] VOTE IN THE POLL!! Option to disable Popcorn Upscaling - let your TV/AVR upscale
@werner: is there any news on this?
As i understand it is already developed, but not implemented in the firmware. The developers certainly needed a long time to implement this... so why is it not part of any firmware? To develop this and not publish it seems to me like a waste of programer resources... |

RE: [Feature Req] VOTE IN THE POLL!! Option to disable Popcorn Upscaling - let your TV/AVR upscale
hi
i recently bought a home cinema projector with seemingly very good scaling algorithm. unfortunately i am not unable to use it for the reason discussed in this post. for me the option to play video at native resolution is one of the top features. i must admit it never crossed my mind that this is not possible on piece of hardware that is so good as popcorn (i use c200). right now i am looking to buy a new media player that has this option (since there is not info if or when this feature will be implemented) does anyone know if c300 has this "feature" or could someone point me to some other player? did anyone use mede8er? tnx |

Syabas have failed to be able to implement this feature. Apparently it was nearly ready but problems with the HDMI driver have caused them to drop it totally. Thought someone should tell you. Thanks for taking the time to try to get this feature on the NMT.

Too Hard Fix the poor network Speeds .. No... Too Hard Fix the DolbyTrue HD and DTS Master HD audio cutting out..No.. Too Hard And the NEW C300 is even worse. Sorry I wasted my money on it. In its current state it is unusable. Poor networking speeds. NO HD audio works and the remote is not fully operational. Thank goodness I do not use subtitles because that would add to my problems. Maybe Syabas should find a subcontractor that CAN do the work. Now with buggy software on the C200 the software team at Syabas is mired down and failing to supply fully operational C300 units. Sorry for the rant. |

RE: [Feature Req] VOTE IN THE POLL!! Option to disable Popcorn Upscaling - let your TV/AVR upscale
Whats the point in apologising after the event when if you were actually sorry you could edit.
![]() Keep on topic and to the point otherwise it will go totally of track as others disagree with your comments as some are impossible and are not even bugs etc. I'm hoping that we can make them reconsider and put more into their efforts to give Native Resolution. We wont do that if the point is widened into a general rant. Syabas have run into too many problems and abandoned it. Not least, all of the on-screen graphics that are currently pre-rendered at one resolution will have to be pre-rendered or renderable at any possible source resolution or you won't be able to have any overlays. And then there's the font sizes, etc. It's actually a huge piece of work, and probably more than they expected. Just get 1080p content and be happy.
