on the router side I still use: "WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES]".
On PCH-A100 I have tested and found working:
"WPA2 TKIP + AES"=No
"WPA TKIP + AES"=No
"WPA TKIP"=Yes
"WPA AES"=No
"WPA2 TKIP"=Yes
"WPA2 AES"=No

Changed on the router side to: "WPA2-PSK [AES]".
"WPA AES"=No
"WPA2 AES"=Yes (verified this with a reboot)

Connecting times are between 1.5 minutes to over 2 minutes which is 4-5 times longer than in 100317 FW.

hi guys n gals

im new to the popcorn scene and just wanted to say hi to everyone, i just thought to post that i got a new update to day for my a110 firmware 01-17-100516-15-pop-403-000 kernel version 15-pop nmt version 00-17-091216-15-pop-403 does anyone else have this update today for there a110...also i know this aint the right place to post what im going to ask but i have a problem with my WD cavier green 1.5TB 64MB 3.5 HDD for some reason it is seen in the popcorn unit with 1394 freespace but when i try to connect it to my laptop (vista) via usb male to male lead it just aint being seen, ive rolled back firmware versions and ive even tried to format the hdd on a vista desktop but keeps saying format not complete can anyone please help me any help is appreciated

Does this version have the PlayON issue fixed? I mean, you just have to put it in there...

the A110 holds the same fixes as the A100 release... as you very well know...

Yeah, but this really sucks as you well know. Syabas is a little company acting like a really big company -sort of like Microsoft which I've come to hate... It wouldn't take much to just add it in would it?? It was in the list of what was supposed to be included for this firmware release for chrissakes..

I've only just tried this firmware within the last week or so, everything seemed ok, but I've just now noticed that when I try to use the network browser, it only lists NFS Server and no longer shows Workgroups.

Persistent links (on my workgroup) are still working fine though.

Can anyone else confirm if this is happening on theirs? I'm about to drop back to previous firmware and see if problem is gone (it was definitely working fine with the previous firmware)

I'm using wired lan, no hdd installed.

As mentioned before, we fixed it for an older version of PlayON, however, it seems that this issue is back when tested versus latest version of PlayON.

At moment we still working on a fix for this. Until the next build available,
we should not deprive A-110 users of a fw update.

Hi,

Had the same issue as staffanw.
My WiFi broke after FW update.

Router security: WPA2 TKIP + AES
Changed the A-100 setup to: WPA2 TKIP and got it working again.

Had exactly the same problem, solved it as M@jk, switched from "WPA2 TKIP + AES" to "WPA2 TKIP"

However, problem needs to be looked into...

Thanks guys, it gets a bit annoying being accused of "Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair" when I was the only one reporting this problem.
The solution is what I've documented a few posts above:
"WPA TKIP" or "WPA2 TKIP" both works while neither "WPA TKIP + AES" or "WPA2 TKIP + AES" when router is in multimode. This worked perfectly in 100317.
Syabas is looking into this as it seems as if they switched the encryption portion in the code when fixing the unbroadcasted SSID.

Can't get the album art right. All the art is displayed diagonally
I've tried MP3 / Flac
Embedded album art, external album art. Tried suggested mp3 tagging software (except for the one that comes with musicjukebox, couldn't find it yet)
Even songs with no album art present show the popcorn hour logo diagonally.
I've tried various display options in the popcorn, still no luck.
I think its may be a wrong display setting? There's no single file that's displayed correctly.
Some people have reported this working. Perhaps someone can upload a sample file that is working for him / her, so others can test. Then we will know if it's the music or the playersettings. ( i think it's the last one)

Please tell us which display options you have tried ?
1080p@50Hz and it works. beware that 'mono' will always display the external file(s) first and then embedded.
I have tried with 125x125, 150x150, 250x250, 300x300 and 500x500 all worked both as embedded (in MP3) and as external files. Also tried 2000x2000 which was not displayed at all.
I'm pretty sure that your problems is in your resolution and I guess that you use SD.
What happens if you "Photo" browse among the external files ?

According his signature he uses 1080p 60Hz output on HDMI. So he doesn't use SD output as I do. And he said the same thing that I did: "Even songs with no album art present show the popcorn hour logo diagonally."

Btw.: I have external JPEG images as album art resolution is below 1000x1000 and none of them is working correctly. (All works on my C-200 fine.) Browsing them as photos also working fine.
