No one knows the answer it made it into the 200 series release. and werner mentioned they would try to backport it to the 100 series. But not word yet.

Hi guys,

For me this firmwareupdate didn't do any good, A lot of mkv. files will not play anymore, as well as a lot of iso. files. Before this firmwareupdate everything worked fine for me. I sometimes encountered dts dropouts but further i had no problems at all with the device. Now it seems to have become worse.

Hope there will be a newer firmwareupdate soon to solve these problems.

The same appearance here. And it's also an annoying 8 sec. pause between every track.

One thing that might have been corrected this time, is the cutting of the start of all FLAC files, so far I have not experienced any problems.

I am not fully convinced yet, but so far it seems my files plays from the start without the few 1/100th of sec. missing at the start, but it is surely improved from earlier.

UPDATE !!
I just re-installed that last firmware and my PCH went back on playing most of my MKV files. i tried again to play a specific file -come to thinking about it, all troubles started after i tried to play it earlier this evening. it's Prince.of.Persia.The.Sands.of.Time.720p.BluRay.x264-HUBRIS.
I just tried playing it, it stuck with a black screen, no sound and only subs are shown. i stopped it, tried another few MKV files...NOTHING. installed the last firmware again, and voila - most of the MKV files are played once again. very strange. especially while my Windows Media Player Classic at my PC desktop is playing that file.
any ideas anyone ?

I have exactly the same problem with that hubris rip...
I thought it was the firmware, but apparently it's just the rip
it plays fine one the pc though, I have no idea what the issue is with the pch
all I do know is that if f*cks up your pch and you cannot play any video file after trying to play this one


Oh and I have the subs osd flickering thing too since this firmware

mkvmerge 4.2.0 version used file probably has header compression. It was enabled in the most recent release of mkvmerge

Yes, wont be fixed. 1080p is most likely ram issues. They might been able to optimize it but they will not spend the time when they have a newer product for you to purchase to fix that. Go buy a new one.

They probably only have to properly release the allocated memory after they play a 1080p.
If they can't even do this basic stuff, what makes you believe the new models will be any better? At most they'll have some extra RAM so you could play a 1080p twice or something before the system freezes.

Hi, I did the firmware update and now my A-110 is completely not working. I tried to use the restore files at http:...a110_recovery_080818.zip to go back to where I was before the update :(but nothing happens. Actually, the PHC sees the memory stick but not the files up5fw2TP and bootimage. Not sure what to do!!!

Ok I seem to have a rather unique problem..when I try to install this version of firmware 01-17-100516-15-POP-403, the firmware installs just fine but when it reboots and moves to update the NMT apps, I get a setup fail and saying source is not valid and it reboots. I tried the installation twice once via usb and the rest online..

Strange also is the fact the previous version 01-17-100317-15-POP-403 also results in the same situation..

The only version that works for me is 01-17-091202-15-POP-403 which is from Dec 2009.

Also now that I restored it none of the web applications work...

Any ideas what might be wrong?
