Unfortunately, you cannot use this program for that kind of re-muxing. It was not designed with this in mind, and it'll probably be too complicated to wedge it into the existing routines.

Looks like the program can't find the MKVMerge.exe file.

Make sure you have downloaded the entire MKV Tools package and installed it in the default location.

Thanks, it did look like a newbie-error but I was kind of tired and angry last night :-)

Hello,

I'm following the instructions in the first post to use this in conjunction with MKV Toolnix 5.3 as the recommended version.

However, lots of the tracks I want to edit give me the following message:

"Exception EConvertError: Cannot synchronize MkvInfo and MkvMerge track Ids! when scanning file"

"using MediaInfo. Information for this file may be incomplete."

"Continue?"

If I do continue, all tracks have an ID of 0. What should I do? What version of MKV Toolnix should I use to get rid of the problem?

I'm currently investigating why MKV Info and MKV Merge gives different UIDs in their track reports, and if I can synchronize the two outputs some other way. Stay tuned (may be after Christmas break before I finish, however)...

Until then, try to first do a simple re-mux (no track changes) using the official MKV Merge (or mmg.exe) and then try it again using ReMuxer. It seems like the problem files doesn't make the .MKV files correctly, and a simple remux using the official MKV Merge seems to bring the UIDs back in sync.

Ok, so having updated AudioConverter (AC) to the latest and running mkvmerge GUI (mmg.exe) at 5.4
I decided to update ReMuxer to v1.17

I used AC to convert Flac to AC3 (after tweaking problems reported in my AC thread).
Now looking at the new file with ReMuxer, it reports
#0 Video Eng
#0 Audio Eng
#0 Sub Russian
#0 Sub Eng

I uncheck Russian Sub and execute. Looking at new result in ReMuxer now gives me
#0 Video Eng
#1 Audio Eng

but no Eng subs (gone), and confirmed in mmg.

I do have an existing script but it always worked fine under older ReMuxer version 1.15
but no attempt to use new language groups.

When I use mmg to remove Russian subs, ReMuxer reports
#0 Video Eng
#1 Audio Eng
#2 Sub Eng

Yes - I have noticed an inconsistency between the Track UIDs reported by MKV Info and MKV Merge. I have attempted to apply a fix for this inconsistency by synchronizing the tracks in another way, and it appears to work here, but as I don't have any .mkv files where the inconsistency is present, I cannot verify it.

Please download the latest version (tested with MKV Tools 6.0) and see if it solves your problem.

Just saw the update.

I am using the latest AC and 1.1.8 ReMuxer, but on 5.4 mmg.exe

Grabbing 2 new .mkv files untouched by any program, dragging them into ReMuxer gives me the error

I will try to update to 5.9 or 6.0 but I find 5.4 to be very slow processing compared to 3.4 version.

I checked the settings in AudioConverter and the paths to MKV tools is correct, so I'm sure there's nothing
else that may be obsolete causing the discrepancy with the results.

one suggestion, when the mkv file only has 1 audio track , say Rus, and if I define the rule to remove Rus audio track always for all the files, the tool does not run when it see this file, not even give out error... when you have 50 files, I have to go through all the files and manually unchecked all the file that only have 1 audio track .... I guess if there is a button to auto select just the files that match the processing criteria only would be wonderful, but I can manually select the files as a work around anyway ....
