Hi,
I've searched the forum, but couldn't find my answer. I recently installed Oversight (r1369 via the CSI) on my C-200 after playing with Yamj for a while. I wanted updating of the movie database without the need of a PC. The install went well and my movies are recognized. The movies which are made of multiple parts are displayed as 1 movie. Except for 1 movie, which is displayed as two separate movies (with the same poster, fanart, etc). The files are named as follows (because my other multipart movies are named the same manner and are displayed correctly): Avatar.2009.BluRay.DTS-HD.CD1.iso Avatar.2009.BluRay.DTS-HD.CD2.iso I also tried Avatar.2009.BluRay.DTS-HD[CD1].iso Avatar.2009.BluRay.DTS-HD[CD2].iso Yamj displayed the movie correct. The only difference I can see is it being large bluray iso files. I hope someone can help me out. Thanks in advance. |

Might be worth deleting one? just keep the disc 1 one? I'm only guessing here but these things sometimes work. UNLESS there is a setting somewhere that links ISO movies into 1 'movie' but I think you're saying other ISO double discs are showing up ok?...is that right? If it is have the others got the same NFO structures? |

RE: Oversight - Multiple ISO Parts
Ah not so much a bug as a feature - Mutlipart check is not performed for ISO files.
I can add it, just never come across it before. Is is not a split movie right, just two separate disks in a set? eg one is a features disc ? Oversight: Jukebox | FeedTime: Automatic nzbs |

If a movie is in two parts I will usually put it in a folder with the movie name. Inside the names will be cd1.() and cd2.() or part01.(), part01.(). Sometimes Oversight will see it and sometimes not. I am running release 1.0 on the newest C200 firmware. You can see it not working with The Guardian (2007) . If you combine the two parts and call the movie The Guardian (2007).() then Oversight recognizes it. Otherwise not, even though I have things set to use folder names. Very odd how it sees some folders and not others. It always sees single files. Is there something wrong with my naming convention? Thank's...philip Edit: I am thinking of avi movies here, but I don't think the type would change things. I have replicated this problem with over a dozen titles so it must be something with the naming convention. If a movie is in one file should it be in a folder with the name of the movie? Perhaps that is the problem. All videos are in one folder. The videos with 2 parts are in subfolders. Nevertheless, most movies get identified properly. |

RE: Oversight - Multiple ISO Parts
@pmcd, your issue is different.
First I'd suggest anyone keen on using oversight should use v2.0 testing. OVersight will assume a movie is multi-part if: 1. There is ONLY one character different. 2. The characters that differ at in the set (12345) or (abcde) 3. It is NOT preceded buy a digit (eg cd1,cd2 works , cd01,cd02 will be ignored. - there was a reason for this. It was getting confused with TV series names) 4. The prefix is NOT dvd,disc,episode,ep, [0-9]e, [0-9]x. [0-9]d Probably rule 3 can be relexed but I remember adding it in for a reason, just cat remember the exact case. If you provide actual filenames I could tell you where the problem is. The multi-part feature was originally for movies that have been split in half, so the name is usually exactly the same apart from one letter. I suspect people now want to see more flexible 'multi-part' where the files may be avatar-part1,the movie.iso avatar-part2.features.iso etc. This is not supported yet. I'll raise it as an issue. And link it in with trailer recognition too. Oversight: Jukebox | FeedTime: Automatic nzbs |

Will soon gravitate to 2. I don't include TV series at this point so things have been working fine with version 1. The exact files names are: The Guardian (2007) cd1.avi cd2.avi The folder name is The Guardian (2007) and the other two are inside. If I combine cd1 and cd1 and just have one file called The Guardian (2007).avi then it works. So it should have worked? philip |

Something like The Guardian (2007)/ The Guardian (2007)/guardian-cd1.avi The Guardian (2007)/guardian-cd2.avi would have worked. I'll check what happens with cd1.avi cd2.avi as that should be a good hint to Oversight to use the foldername

RE: Oversight - Multiple ISO Parts
I finally moved to the latest version 2 testing. I have movies to be identified by folder names. If the folder is called movie (2009) and the movie is in two parts or has subtitle files in the folder then I find that calling the parts movie (2009)CD11.avi and movie (2009)CD2.avi works all the time. The same for the subtitle thing. I would name the movie file movie (2009).avi and the sub stuff
movie (2009).idx, movie (2009).sub . If I try to name the movie cd1, cd2 it almost never works. The same with cd.avi, cd.idx, cd.sub. So, it seems that the files within the folder have to contain the name of the folder or Oversight gets confused. Is this the way it is supposed to work? I have to admit it has worked perfectly since switching to this naming convention. Not one missed scrape. The curtains skin is what stopped the filenames from appearing over the posters. There wasn't enough room. I switched to the oversight one and it works fine. philip |
