(feat. request) Bring "file copy" to background
Just a feature requet that I think everybody will agree on : when copying files from or to the C200 from the GUI, it would be really helpful if we were able to "switch to background" the copying task, in place of waiting for the copy to be finished.
I don't think this can be much of an issue, as when you copy file thru samba, everything occurs "in the background" anyway. But again, i'm not a developer. |

RE: (feat. request) Bring "file copy" to background
Only issue I can see is that the amount of processing power used to copy the files would slow the GUI down a lot.

RE: (feat. request) Bring "file copy" to background
as I said, when copying files over samba, this is exactly what's taking place, and I can assure you I can use the GUI and watch SD movies (maybe HD, I'm not sure) whiile the network is copying files at 100M.
So I think that technically speaking, nothing gets in the way of this feature... |

RE: (feat. request) Bring "file copy" to background
That's true. I was just thinking off the top of my head.
I just don't know how the CPU usage changes in local copying vs. networking copying. Hopefully it can be implemented. RE: (feat. request) Bring "file copy" to background
I would like this. At the moment I actually do any large copying on the PCH from the PC over the network . Just because the copy function on the PCH blocks it completely until it's done.
PCH-C200 (Seagate 500GB 2.5", LG GGC-L20H BD-Rom) -> HDMI -> Onkyo TX-SR876 -> Samsung PS50B650 |
