NMT not removing Internal HDD for use on PC
I have a Popcorn Hour 110 with a 1TB HDD inside.
Yesterday I plugged the NMT into my PC via USB to copy over my latest YAMJ library. I then unplugged it and plugged it back into the TV, but for some reason the Websites were REALLY slow. Every click took about 10 seconds. So I thought maybe there is something wrong with the files. I plugged it back into the PC but it just won't show up. I plugged it into my Mac, my WinXP and my Linux machine and it just doesn't show up! Disk Utility on my Mac doesn't show anything, as if it's physically not present. I tried having it plugged into the TV and see if the message pops up to tell me it will be removed because it's used on a PC, but not even that shows up. NMT seems to be using the HDD all the time. I still have access to it via NMT over the TV, but not on my PC. No matter what I do, NMT seems to be using it all the time. Another strange thing is that under Setup -> NMT Applications, myiHome, FTP, Samba and NFS Server are are not being started. They just keep saying "Starting" but even 10 hours later it says that and the Start button is inactive. Edit: Oh and the green light goes on when I connect the NMT to my PC via USB. |

RE: NMT not removing Internal HDD for use on PC
Filesystem error I think..... or .... disk not connected to mainboard anymore...
PCH-A100/A210/C200/A400 500GB EXT3 HDD<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Onkyo TX-NR1010<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Panasonic TX-P46S10 13 NTFS USB drives on 3 hubs attached to the A300, 3 Seagate blackarmour NAS 3TB The inability to setup and configure the NMT should not be disguised as a defect of the box |

RE: NMT not removing Internal HDD for use on PC
HDD is defenitaly connected to the Mainboard, since NMT has full access to it. But Filesystem error would make sense, since I remember that I tried formatting it into NTFS... was a while back though, but never had a problem so far.
I'll guess I just reformat the HDD via NMT into Ext3. |

NMT just won't release the internal HDD, it's always in use. And now I have another issue with the setup wizard which doesn't work. See my other thread here |

take it out of the A110 and plug it in your Linux box
