Hi folks,

i made myself a nice index for the A-200, but i was wondering if it was possible to use javascript or something to have a rotating background so it keeps changing in a period of lets say 10 seconds ?

Here are some examples of my home made index with dif. backgrounds :

(Text on icons is in dutch, also a button to Uitzending Gemist is there)

I'm actually looking for a similar program which will rotate custom movie intro which plays prior to a movie I watch. I have three of them now and I have no way of doing this automatically.

Yes, its definitely possible. In fact UMC used to do this with javascript pre 2.0.

I donno how to code it off the top of my head, but essentially you'd just make an array of the various image options, then a timer to keep track of when to change it...and the code to change the image.

this would be REALLY useful for people who just bought a Plasma and want to avoid burn in while still setting everything up on the PCH... such as myself, haha

Any insight on even getting that blue/green sweep in the stock background to change would be good- flat black would at least avoid the problem... a motion background would be best.

Ideas, anyone?

Use an animated PNG background, set to change to a new image every 5-10 minutes.

Google search of animated png maker

Animated gifs are not possible/supported on the PCH.
I have no knowledge if the NMT even supports an animated PNG... someone needs to test it out and report back.

Here is an example of what you are trying to achieve.

Note that ''=" (two single quotes is a double), for whatever reason the code/php blocks mess it up.

This will cycle thru 3 jpg's, changing every 10 seconds.

You simply need to add the javascript portion to your page and make the... var bgList = [...] match your files.
Then see the <body....> tag for the onload bit.

Make sure your using 1280x720 backgrounds to keep image changes quick.
