I'm just going to leave it and see if i get the errors/unknowns anymore now that I've redone everything froms cratch. but if any more problems I guess I can try 1 but no lower to go from there so not sure what else could be causing this. just got an "UNKNOWN" for an ep name after running yamj. no errors in the dos box but go to check the result and sure enough found an "UNKNOWN" already. I guess I will try lowering it 1 for the max download but dont know what else to try after that since I have eerything brand new from scratch and everything as recommended from Omerton. i guess this is just a tvdb problem? but what happens when it still does it with max dl setting to 1 in the properties file? erased all the files for Breaking Bad season 4 ep 1 out of the jukebox and reran yamj and still got unknown. pretty annoying considering amc is a chan I have but i missed the first ep and didn't see it on the schedule to rerun so i could dvr. I have ep 2 on dvr and put ep 1 on the pch and yamj/tvdb can't seem to even scrape the ep name properly and gets the usual annoying "UNKNOWN" error which doens't show up in the dos box running yamj that there was any error but when you go to watch ep it says UNKNOWN instead of the ep name, sucks. |

I dont think its the name of the file finally worked on 10th agonizing try but yeah this is a reoccuring problem... and i've seen others mention it as well |

I'm getting [TheTVDB API] Series error: null on all my TV shows, any idea what's going on? Using the latest YamJ (even did a whole new scan from scratch of my whole library)..

RE: Help with YAMJ error code
looks like this problem is still ongoing
"[Fatal Error] :1:1: Content is not allowed in prolog. [TheTVDB API] Episode error: Unable to parse TheTVDb response, please try again later." how can I just put the info in manually to the jukebox? I think it gets some of the data and just misses a couple of the eps which show up in the details page as 'UNKNOWN' obviously it hasn't been fixed yet but at this point it would be quicker to just insert the missing info manually then having to go into the jukebox each time to delete all the data for that season of that series and re run yamj only to see it get the errors and check the details p age and see a couple eps that weren't scraped (08-10-2011 05:27 AM)halfelite Wrote: posting the log wont help. its an error between you and thetvdb nothing anyone can fix. just between me and thetvd? or thetvdb and all the many ppl that have posted the same prolog error. every error can be fixed one way or another. |

RE: Help with YAMJ error code
The prolog error means that TheTVDb API has returned some broken XML and YAMJ can't parse it.
We've already tried to get it twice before, and this is the third error that has occured for that information, therefore there is nothing that can be done to get that information at this time. Hence, the "please try later" message. It's an issue with thetvdb dealing with too may requests. Try updating at a different time of day |

[Fatal Error] :1:1: Content is not allowed in prolog.
[TheTVDB API] Episode error: Unable to parse TheTVDb response, please try again later. (08-10-2011 07:04 AM)Omertron Wrote: The prolog error means that TheTVDb API has returned some broken XML and YAMJ can't parse it. seriously? I do it super late at night most of the time when noone would be scraping. thats crazy if thats the reason... is there a way to do it manually because that would be quicker then having to erase the whole series out fo the jukebox everytime and re run yamj if it doesn't; get an ep, and shows it as "UNKNOWN' in the details page, what is the best quickest way to rerun it and ensure it tries to retrieve that ep? because otherwise once it lists it as unknown, if you try to run yamj again, it doesn't think its missing anything and doesn't even try to reget that ep but deleting that whole series from the jukebox to reget increases chances of having multipel "UNKNOWN" eps when running it again for one ep. I guess I can just delete the xml and html file for that season and whatever files it does have for that ep that it didn't scrape properly? so just delete the xml, html, and playlist.jsp file for that ep and rerun yamj? just those 3 or is one of those not needed to be deleted? if I change in properties to have overwrite xml it will do for that all series though right so that isn't an option. having to rerun yamj ten times just to get one ep cus of this prolog error is bad enough but having to scroll throught he jukebox and delete the incorrectly scraped files each time before re running yamj is what makes it completely agonizing. |

RE: Help with YAMJ error code
run with the recheck options I posted. Give it a week and see if it doesnt clear up shows that are marked UNKOWN. you have to give it time it could be the server you are hitting for the tvdb doesnt have the correct data or is missing it. here are the options again. It will check for UNKOWN on each run and try to fix it and it will update all movies that are 90 days old. Its not to strange that late at night has the most issues the tvdb is always slowest for me from 10pm to 1am pst time
mjb.recheck.XML=true mjb.recheck.Max=200 mjb.recheck.Version=false mjb.recheck.Revision=20000 mjb.recheck.Days=90 mjb.recheck.minDays=1 mjb.recheck.Unknown=true |

Its not to strange that late at night has the most issues the tvdb is always slowest for me from 10pm to 1am pst time tonight i did it before 10pm but after a few tries it got everything. where are these settings you posted? ok i see them in moviejukebox.properties but I already have mjb.recheck.XML=true mjb.recheck.Max=200 why would you turn the check if the verison of yamj has changed to false? and 2000 revisions before forcing a rescan? I get the rest upping the rescan days to 90 cus you dont need it to completely rescan and minDays to 1 so it rechecks almost every time. recheck.Unknown is already true. "Currently only Title, plot, year, video image and episode plots are checked" sounds like that possibly doesn't include tv episode names so its not going to work for those. just not sure I get why you changed it from default 25 to 2000 for 'The number of yamj revsions before rocing a rescan" with 2000 it will never rescan and wouldn't you kind of want that after 25 revisions of yamj? plus if you changed the 'Check if the version of YAMJ has changed to false then it doesn't matter what # of revisions before rescan you put in. so i'm just confused how changing those 2 settings help this. seems the only ones needed is the first option as far as max number of xml files to rescan and most importantly th emin age of xml file before recheck is considered but setting it to 1 now will recheck all, all the time. And again I already had 'Check to see if cergtain values of the xml file have UNKNOWN' set to true but accorind to the line i mentioned about what it works for seems it ma not recheck for unknown tv episode name. rechecks ipisode plot but not ep name... anyway i changed min days to 1 so i think its going to recheck all xml files everytime now which may be kind of annoying but i thin its quick enough though not sure if having it recheck everything now is quicker then me just deleting the html, xml, and playlist.jsp for that ep and rerunning yamj cus eventually it gets the ep name |

RE: Help with YAMJ error code
mjb.recheck.XML=true <--- Enables the recheck
mjb.recheck.Max=200 <--- only rechecks 200 titles at a time mjb.recheck.Version=false mjb.recheck.Revision=20000 <----- I update yamj revisions when they come out so i can get 20 revesions in a week if stu is cranking them out thats why I have it so high mjb.recheck.Days=90 <---- checks all things after 90 days old mjb.recheck.minDays=1 <---- for unkowns it waits one day before it rechecks it so it tvdb was missing it say friday it wont rescan it till saturday mjb.recheck.Unknown=true <----- scans for unknown inside xml |

(08-17-2011 02:16 AM)De1Phi4n Wrote: seriously? I do it super late at night most of the time when noone would be scraping. thats crazy if thats the reason...Yeah, It's the only thing that I can track it back to. The errors are not consistent with a specific series, season or episode, they change seemingly randomly. We try reading the XML 3 times before that error occurs, so it's been thoroughly checked before we give up, and the scanner is not sophisticated enough to place the scan at the end and try again in a while, hence the recheck function. The recheck was designed to try and catch those issues where there's an unknown, but I'll need to look into it if there are points where it's overwriting good data with bad. |
