Oversight very slow on HDX1000
Hi!

I have installed Oversight on my HDX1000. First I did a scan of the local drive only. Oversight worked fine and fast.
But when I scanned my nas (smb mappings) and added that movies to Oversight, the whole Oversight site became VERY slow!
Every page opens very slow, even in the config pages...

Please HELP!!

BTW when you first run the CSI it suggests to install lighthttp instead of player's default web-server.
This should speed up the interface and applications which use player's internal web-server - at least the description for lighthttp says so.Smile

Hi,

@Roman, lighthttpd has no effect on Oversight FWIW. Only PHP applications I think.

@Boer, I cant see any email ? (looked in junk)

RE: Oversight very slow on HDX1000
@Boer,

It's something to do with detecting your shares. Something is causing a 30 second delay
Can you edit your network shares and in the smb://host/folder change the host to be the IP address?

If that doesn't work set the NAS timeout to zero (assuming you have latest version of Oversight) and see if that helps.

Code:
/NAS_Video] share_name [NAS_Video] current status [?] -->
<!-- 70/30 connect 192.168.10.11:139 ok : error 0 : elapsed 0ms/90ms -->
<!-- 70/30 pingable link = [smb://192.168.10.11/video] -->
<!-- 70/30 mount [/opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/NETWORK_SHARE/NAS_Video] ok -->
<!-- 70/30 mount point [NAS_Video] status changed from [?] to [1] -->
<!-- 80/30 mount status [SATA_Media]=[?] -->
<!-- 80/30 mount path=[/opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/NETWORK_SHARE/SATA_Media] share_name [SATA_Media] current status [?] -->
<!-- 80/60 connect 192.168.10.11:139 ok : error 0 : elapsed 0ms/90ms -->

@Boer, what NAS are you using. There are a few NAS that do not seem to like these very basic probes (which are just TCP/IP socket connections) for various reasons. It would be useful to compile a list.

I'm using a Synology DS209+, with the latest DSM3.0.
I use SMB shares "smb://ip-address/share". I've tried nfs shares, but that was slow also...

I never had any networkproblems with that Synology before...
