Its not about remembering framerates
Its about changing output frequency to match the framerate.
Like 24p video needs an output of 24hz and 25fps video needs an output of 50hz and 30fps video needs an output of 60hz

When you change videooutput resolution and/or frequency the player and monitor needs to do a resynch
