Problem with Xvid/DivX files
In August and October firmware appeared new bug with playing of some Xvid files.
After jumping 10% (or whatever) sound dissappears, after next jump player freezes, then you cannot play any file of any kind - you will be returned to file list. Only hard reboot return ability to play (but not such files). Problem was confirmed by several users in August. This problem exists only in two last firmwares. Still awaiting problem to be solved. Sample file http://rapidshare.com/files/423844077/Th...y_1.01.avi 169 Mb |

RE: Problem with Xvid files
I can confirm that the original file losses audio, then freezes after jumping to any position in the file. No other file plays after the playback.
A Simple remux with VirtualDubMod and it works fine. So I guess there is some junk data in the header which freezes the C-200. Media player 01: PCH-A100, 160 GB 2,5" WD HDD, Composite, CAT5 wired. Media player 02: PCH-C200, 320 GB 2,5" Samsung HDD, LG CH10-LS20 BD, HDMI, CAT5e wired. Display: Samsung LE-40R88BD A/V receiver: Yamaha RXV-630 coax conn. NAS: Synology CS407e, DS411j 8 TB (RAID5) |

RE: Problem with Xvid files
That's not my department to say. I know that they worked on the avi compatibility in the previous firmware, to allow playback the not so standard avi files. But I guess they broke something else in the process...
