RE: Problem with Xvid files
I've experienced a similar problem with DIVx files also (several different files). Sometimes it happens when jumping to a certain percentage, sometimes it happes while FF/RW a file. At some point it freezes, and about 5-10 seconds later, it seems the player crashes, and you're returned to the file list.
Nothing will play afterwards, not even different file formats. I need to restart the C200. |

RE: Problem with Xvid/DivX files
90% of the time its bad chunks/riff data in the avi index I will try to take a look at it later this weekend. So we get a better understanding of it.
use avinaptic to check out the riff tree and post it here |

RE: Problem with Xvid/DivX files

RE: Problem with Xvid/DivX files
If I trickplay 576/50i mpg files I am kicked back to the GUI all the time. It happens on 50% of the files. It never happened with any FW before aug 2010. It makes my C200 useless for mpg playback. Unfortunately 95% of my file collection is 50i mpg.
I'm sure it is the same bug. I think it depends on the hardware version or setup (Harddisk, BD player) because only a few people are affected by this. It has no relation with the network as it also happens with local files. For this reason (and others) I use the C200 only for HD purposes with BD iso's and MKV's. |

RE: Problem with Xvid/DivX files
Same issues here!
Using timeseek more than once during playback of an Xvid file knocks out sound. Soon after I'm returned to menu and no files will play without a full reset. This is a new problem that started with recent firmware.

RE: Problem with Xvid/DivX files
Same problem here also. The issue started 2 firmwares ago (the first one with the new SDK). It's completely random when it will crash but it does crash when use the # keys to skip through a xvid. These are all the same xvid's I had way back to when I had an A110 and played with no issues at all.

RE: Problem with Xvid/DivX files
Same issue with .dvix files. I just assumed they weren't supported by this player. Guess there is a different issue.

RE: Problem with Xvid/DivX files
In the case of divx files, they are only supported to the extent that they comply to the general MPEG-4 standard, which means some of them will play and others will not - the C-200 does not have a dedicated divx license.

But before August firmware everything was OK with such files. Is it a problem to make it working like before? |

RE: Problem with Xvid/DivX files
Same issues remain with the Nov 10th firmware. Like others have said these all worked flawlessly before. The problem for me started when the firmware with the new SDK was implemented.

RE: Problem with Xvid/DivX files
I have a similar issue. Another one I am seeing is in certain avi's I can change to another point in movie (pressing number key) and iit looses audio - this also works in my a110 and doesn't lose audio like on c200. Again I am losing more and more faith in this product as it seems with each new firmware I encounter new issues - none of which I ever had on the a110 and it isnt like this product just came out (i could expect this all for the first month or two but this long later!)I am starting to wonder if the same coders are still around and if not - please do some sub-contract work or open source this puppy..
