My turn to be lazy

I wanted to play around with oversight but I'm looking at nas or my ubuntu test server to install it on. Is there a list of required packages or any basic nas/linux instructions somewhere?

Hi, the scraper can run on non-NMT linux (may need some small tweaks), but the GUI has a lot of NMT specific code.

so the gui won't run from any proper webserver and just output for the pch correctly?

Not without any changes. I think the main changes are:

1. Parsing input variables (this should actually be easier using a standard webserver)
2. Oversight detects a lot of the NMT configuration settings and acts accordingly - eg
- resolution. (this could be just made a config setting)
- Network shares - Oversight reads the network shares on the NMT and does automounting etc.

Any progress? I also would like to install oversight on my NAS (Synology DS710+) because I think the PCH A100 is just to slow for generating the jukebox on its own.

haven't touched it.. I have other things going on that it wasn't all that important.. I would have given it a whirl if it would have been a quick prereq list+change these 9 paths and settings but to go over what its doing and modding it that way I just didn't have the time to allocate.
