M31B + MKV Header compression - Firmware fix?

Ok now what I signed up to ask is..

Anybody know/heard if there is any plan to fix annoying header compression problem?
I know it's easy enough to fix with mkvmerge etc but PCH F/W has been fixed for this now, hasn't it?

EDIT: Doh, I deleted the line....M31B, does this affect all 'other NMT' though since they are based on the syabas F/W?

I just found the PCH thread also and read through that, so yes 100 range stll waiting on fix so we have to wait a bit more for eGreat too.

And yes - it has been fixed for the PCH 200 range. A fix is still pending for the 100 range...

AFAIK Egreat NMT players are no longer supported.

Better return it then and get something else if they aren't going to support any future bugs or problems.

Well, that's not to say that eGreat couldn't come up with their own fix independently, they just won't get any support from Syabas to do so.


Oh, and no, they won't be coming up with their own fix independently. eGreat has released newer hardware which means that they no longer care about the older ones. Their business model is to sell hardware, not support it.

Same header compression issue on the EGreat S1A. According to the egreat forum (which almost never works) it would be fixed months ago with a firmware fix. Nothing yet!!

The S1a is not a NMT. It runs egreats own firmware and not Syabas's firmware. You need to ask on the egreat forum/site.
