C200 stock, and buying direct from PCH from UK

Hi guys, iv had a c200 on order from a UK company for 2 months now and the stock date keeps getting pushed back which is really frustrating

I got it at a price of £250 which was good but i really want it NOW!

Anyone know anywhere in the uk that has it in stock for a similar price?

Also has anyone in the UK ordered directly from PCH? Did you get hit with duties and import tax etc?

Will it work out alot more expensive than £250, and also how long does it take if you order direct from PCH?

If i did this will it be a US version with a different plug etc?

Please advise guys, its getting really annoying as i just want the machine!

I didnt get hit by Import Duty but did get VAT and a courier charge for admin.

There are many threads that have broken it down:-

$299 * VAT @ 17.5% = $351.33

Dollar > Pound conversion = 351.33 * 0.634084 = £222.80

Plus £10 courier admin charge = £232.80

Add a little for currency conversion rates changing and you are about the same price as your £250.

There is an arguement that a UK reseller will mean that if it goes wrong you return to them and not to the PCH RMA Centre in USA. That will cost you packaging to returnt othe RMA centre.
It depends on the quality of the reseller as to whether this is worth it or not. Some resellers will swop out of stock whereas others seem to ship back to PCH and take longer than had you yourself RMA'd to the USA.

Given that one of my C-200 has died and I'm RMA'ing back to Scan.....well I wouldn't be buying one of these direct from the US!

You wont be buying one of these from the US full stop!! They don't ship from USA they ship from China and the RMA centre is in USA.

It's swings and roundabouts. Some resellers will issue a replacement from stock others may wait months before shipping it back themselves and keep you waiting months and wish you'd bought direct and shipped it yourself.

Well, I'm also getting slowly fed up of the UK not having any stock aswell. AMP keep pushing back their delivery dates back leaving customers out in the cold. If they don't turn up by mid-November then I'll be ordering direct from the manufacturers and hopefully get in on the end of Nov ship date.

Anyone know what the cut-off time is for ordering? If someone ordered today from the manufacturers, what's the likelyhood of getting in before 28th October's shipped orders?
