WHS "Turn all the cr*p off" batch file
Hey kids,
I stream 1:1 bd rips from my Acer easystore and get fed up with WHS deciding it'll run some background process like demigrator which then ties up the i/o and means the movie stutters. I've got a batch file to turn off the demigrator (and another to turn it back on) but I was thinking, can I add other services to the list? Things like indexing (and anything else you can think of)? Can I just add them to this batch file? Any special syntax? Code: @echo offand then to the "On" file? Code: @echo offPchTrakt | YAMJ wiki

RE: WHS "Turn all the cr*p off" batch file
Just save them somewhere in the filesystem and set up a scheduled task to run at whatever time you want
I've just shut off DriveExtenderMigrator and my WHS seems to be streaming much better - my BR 1:1 MKV rips were stuttering something fierce last night -- only had my PCZH streaming for 10 mins now so we'll see what happens over the next hour or two |

Yeah, these batch files work really well.
Are there any other services you turn off when streaming? 1:1 bdrips with hd audio work perfectly for me streaming from the whs to the A-200. PchTrakt | YAMJ wiki

RE: WHS "Turn all the cr*p off" batch file
a better solution for this would be to run the drive balancer util to get your drives balance out overnight and future changes will be minor impacting..
