RE: NMJToolbox - A Windows editor for the NMJ (Updated 18/02/11 v1.0.2.10)
Just a note to everyone. I was just searching for google reaults for NMJToolbox and to my horror, 2 sites are listing my program as a virus!. One company said it was under investigation and I have sent them an e-mail.
and The other 'company' appears to be a total scam site (www-DOT-novirus365-DOT-com). I put it in a non link form as I don't want google to rate this site any higher than it has already. It reports NMJToolbox as: "NMJTOOLBOX.EXE was found has the following beheavor: This Process can sends MIME Email Links to an autoexec.bat file Violates Windows Physical Memory Protection Read other programs application data The file process creates other processes in you desktop Adds a Registry Key (or RUN item) to auto start Programs on system start up POP-up window with AD" I can confirm that NMJToolbox has NONE of these features (there is no install, no registry write, no popups except for the splash screen and it cannot send emails). This site is a SCAM. If you look at their 'contact us' it is a Chinese Yahoo mail address. The site also says it supplies 'free Anti-Virus' software. Well I wonder what their 'free' software installs - more than you bargained for I bet. Please, if you want to use my program ONLY get it from the links in the first post of this thread or directly from the downloads page at http://www.nmjtoolbox.net. The forum link gets it from nmjtoolbox.net anyway. THIS IS THE ONLY SITE I UPLOAD THE FILES TO, IF YOU DOWNLOAD FROM ANYWHERE ELSE IT MAY HAVE BEEN TAMPERED WITH. If you are unsure if your file is genuine then either re-download from my web space or send me an MD5 of your exe and the version and I can confirm if it is genuine and untampered with. Samsung PS50P96FD Plasma (ISF Calibrated), Sony BDP-S550, SkyHD, HDMI 4x2 Matrix, Synology 1511+ with DX510 25TB NAS, Onkyo 605 receiver, Kef Q Series speakers QED cables. C200 & A210, A300 1.5TB Internal HDD in each. |
