RE: NMJToolbox - A Windows editor for the NMJ (Updated 27/02/11 v1.0.3.1)
Cyrus,
Yes, you now have to set scanning to manual on the PCH so that it will not try to refresh the database. Once you have the databse set as you want using the toolbox, you no longer need to use NMJ to scan. I dont think you can change anything about how NMJ displays yet, but there have been many requests for some transparency to allow the poster to be displayed, so who knows what will happen in the soon to be released firmware. They do not appear when I open the existing media.db file. I thought the Refresh button would do it but it doesn't. What am I missing? thanks |

Then add the file(s) of the movie you want to add using the Modify Episodes window. For most movies, this is just the one movie file. You should then be able to use the NMJT scanner to look at the IMDB database to find and add all the relevant Movie data. You do this by either searching by the movie name, or by entering the correct TT code. All done. This is not something I have tried, but I believe that it is possible to run NMJ automatically using an html file. I don't know if it will work with different storage locations as I have not tried it myself. I think this is the thread you want to look at for the answers.. http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...?tid=46189 |

RE: NMJToolbox - A Windows editor for the NMJ (Updated 27/02/11 v1.0.3.1)
Has anyone installed the new c-200 firmware yet and noticed any issues at all with NMJToolbox- managed versions of NMJ? I've been happy over the last few months with NMJ working fine (thanks to the toolbox) but really, REALLY don't want to undo any of my work with the new firmware update?

I am using the new firmware, and have continued using NMJT to update my database. As long as you dont use the NMJ to scan or update no harm will be done to what you have. |

RE: NMJToolbox - A Windows editor for the NMJ (Updated 27/02/11 v1.0.3.1)
Rom, since I have using NMJT to add new movies (without using the infernal and slow NMJ update process) I have noticed some of my movies don't play from the wall, but instead I have to go the list view, where they play fine. I suspect it is because of the file I point to when first loading the film into the NMJT. Does that make any sense?

If the file plays in list view in the NMJ but not in wall/category view then it is because your images are too large for the thumbnails and the NMJ is using up the memory so the files will not play. I have reported this to the devs and the fix is to bulk resize your thumbnails (I use EasyImageModifier) to 124 x 185. If you mean they won't play from the NMJ at all, in any view then I would need more details like is it a single file rip, folder rip, where it is on your network, what is in the PATH column in the episode tab for the entry. Sorry, Rom, I meant the standard UI (I didn't even know there was a list view in NMJ, since I use only the wall to let my daughter pick movies). I have everything in my server in full 1:1 rips, both DVD (VOB) and BD (M2TS). I point to the first file in the VIDEO_TS or STREAM file folders. RE: NMJToolbox - A Windows editor for the NMJ (Updated 27/02/11 v1.0.3.1)
So what is in the PATH column of oneof the ones that won't play?
Also, what drive letter is in the 'Actual NMT drive' combo at the top of NMJT and does NMJT pick this automatically or are you setting it? I edit the database through Remote Desktop Connection directly into my WHS server, and my shares are on drive D, which I always make sure is toggled, even though I keep all media files in the NMJ database folder. I don't see a PATH column in the video tab except for the pictures. In the episodes tab I just see the name of the movie in the PATH column. It seems that you have the movie in the root of your share, is this correct? You don't need to edit via remote desktop but you do need to make sure your drives are mapped correctly otherwise it will get the path wrong. I am sure that it is this that you have set incorrectly. Without all of the details I have asked for I can't really help you. @mfsav2 - your error may be due to an error in my jump to code which I should have fixed on the next release. Not sure you'll be able to see this clearly, but here is a screen shot of the episode entry for Mamma Mia (which hangs on the Universal logo), showing the path as just the folder name, along with the directory tree of my WHS D:\shares\movies files:
