Please Help - A-200 - NMT Applications - Missing

Can anybody help?

The NMT Applications have disappeared from the main menu.

I have tried to re-intall using the Typical settings but this hasn't helped, even though it has said updated correctly.

I have reformatted a usb drive, which brought the options back, but the usenet client is not starting.

Im baffled ... any ideas what im doing wrong?

Iam having the exact same problem like you with my A-200.

I just got hold of a WN-150 usb WIFI to transfer files from my pc to the NMT. But i discoverd that i dident have the first nessesary update with all the "NMT Applications" needed.

I then transferred the 350 GB of data on my A-200, onto another harddisk so I could make a fresh install with the first NMT update needed to run the WN-150. I also did all the other updates after that, Firmware + NMT.
Now I could see the NMT Application option in setup menu and everything was runnig as it should...so far soo good!

And then I formatted my A-200 harddisk back to NTFS and transferred the 350 GB back to it.

This is when the problem started...after I formatted and transferred, the NMT Application is GONE from the menu again???

Can someone please tell me if I did anything wrong or what to do without having to do all this transferring again?

I have tried to take out the harddisk, but now the "NMT Setup Wizard" dont show up in the maintenance menu?

I guess this only works, if you have a HDD installed?

Is it possible to install the NMT Applications on a USB that is connected to the A-200 permanently together with the harddisk?

Now I know what went wrong for me...

When I changed the disk to NTFS, I also deleted the NMT Applications, that is why all my Apps was gone.

Now I have to do all the transferring again and make sure I dont touch the "NMT part" of the disk.

Encountered the problem myself as well. After some fooling around it
seems that a fresh install to harddisc is the only way to bring back working NMT apps.

I tried to trick the setup by adding a new empty NTFS partition
to my harddisc (had some space left) which resulted in two empty harddisc
partitions afterwards and no NMT apps.

After this screwup I removed all partitions from the harddisc and performed a
fresh install from setup/maintenance/NMT setup wizard menu.
The install now creates 4 partitions for ya; 3 ext3 partitions+1 raw AND the
NMT apps are back in the setup menu.

Alternative according to other forumposts:
An empty 4gb+ USB stick (with a vfat or NTFS partition - not FAT)

Afterwards using the USB slave cable + ext2fsd for Windows I copied back all content from my windows7 machine to the A200.

That's why I prefer NMT Apps on USB stick.

When the NMT Apps are on the USB stick I have the internal HD on the A200 formatted completely using NTFS.

I then use the NMT setup wizard to set the MEDIA drive to the internal HD even if it is NTFS. That means downloads from the torrent app will go the downloads directory IN the internal HD, not to the USB stick anymore. I can even swap out the internal HD to another one and my NMT apps will be left intact in the USB stick.

DAve_D - Can you advise if I can use the USB drive method without having to format the internal HD first? Or would I need to do a fresh install and then put the NMT Applications on the USB drive?

I don't think so.

I still eventually transferred the content out to be on the safe side.

I prefer to do a fresh install but that's me being anal about it.

Thanks Dave_D ... well ive purchased a 500gb external .. so i'll put it to good use and transfer everything onto in and do a fresh install! Thanks for your help!
