Oversight with c-200 apps on USB

Will this work?? Have 16 gig usb stick with apps, installed oversight to the usb stick, have two internal hard drives in the C-200, one 2.5 inch 640 gig, one 3.5 inch 1vtbyte in the swap bay.

Reset everything and added the 16 GIG stick with the release of the new NMJ firmware, formatted all the drives, readded the movies to the internal drives

For the life of me I can't get oversight to see these drives. I don't know what to put in as their file path. something like sata_disk1 or something?? Any help would be appreciated!! Wanna take the c-200 to sisters for Thanksgiving dinner and show it off, just too big of an idiot to get it to work properly!!!

Hi - on C200 browse to your HD, the name on the top left will be the root folder of your HD eg. //SATA_DISK_A1
that means you can refere to your disk as /SATA_DISK_A1 in the Oversight config screen.

( or /opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/SATA_DISK_A1 but the NMT will usually also create the symbolic link /SATA_DISK_A1 )

Lordy, I had tried SATA_DISK_A1 and A2 neither of those worked. The only thing in the left hand corner is //. My Disks are labeled Movie and Producer. Movie disk is obviously where the movies are, and producer belongs to some business videos for our company.

Tried just /Movies and then it started finding my movies on the movie disk AND all the stuff on my producer disk... strange.....don't have that HDD in any path. so placed it in the ignored path list /producer but it still picks it up!

Any ideas??

Hi, bear in mind that it's all case sensitive - so /producer != /Producer

i couldnt get it to recognize the "SATA_DRIVE_A1" for mine but it recognized the name i assigned it "MR._NMT" lol when i can get more drives i'll name them based on whats on them but that seemed too funny at the time not to use...

Still cannot get it to NOT scan one of my two drives...Did check to make sure it was right as far as case sensitive.. Will keep trying!!

HAHAAAAAAAA LORDY I HAVE SUCCESS!! And a blunder on my part!! It never was reading the second disk drive! When I went to two drives to keep home and business separate, I had taken the main drive I'm trying to read, formatted by windows NTFS, popped it out the drive tray, put in my docking station and used my p,c, to move/erase the stuff I put on the second drive. I did not realize that windows put a hidden folder recycle bin on that drive. Oversight was still picking up the items in the recycle bin and since they were the same items on the second drive, I assumed it was reading the second drive (Silly Me)
Caught it by using the web browser, selecting the item, hovering over the play button, and reading the path in the bottom of the web browser. Saw recycle bin in the path and slapped my forehead. popped the drive back to the windows docking station, changed settings to see system files, and deleted the recycle bin. Deleted oversights index.db rescanned and all is well!!
