Can't install any app v2
Hello everybody,

I can't get any answer for my problem posted in other thread, so I'm creating my own
Here is the original one
http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...?tid=46489

Here is the question
Quote:I've got another error during installation of any app:

Installation process failed please try again (8).

It happens at 0% of installation process. I've tried rebooting and restoring factory settings but without success.

Can anyone help?

As I described in the first post I've already done all what you advise. There is no change in installation process - it fails every time with every application.
But thanks for the quick reply.

RE: Can't install any app v2
Are you sure it can connect to the internet to download the app?

Yes, I'm sure. It for example downloads application icons and I still have access to some of the previous applications outside NMJ and they work OK. Moreover I've updated my firmware using internet connection (not USB) and NMJ database builder also seems to work OK - it connects to IMDb without any problem...

RE: Can't install any app v2
The same problem for me, torrent is downlaoding, NMJ is connected with IMDB, but any install via Apps Market (youtube, picasa) ends somewhere between 0 - 80% with error 11 (installation process failed etc.). Maybe problem with FTP?

RE: Can't install any app v2
stopping at 80% usually means you need to do a facotry reset

Mine error code is 8.
I don't want to reset to factory defaults again because setting everything back is painful and, as I've experienced, it doesn't fix a thing.

failing 0% is something different then 80%. Usually 80% fail is always fixed after a factory reset I was commented on his problem not yours.

RE: Can't install any app v2
Can't install apps either, says can't find the server.. Yup it does get to the internet, have restarted, reset to factory (that wipe the three apps I did have). Just formatted the usb stick and am reinstalling the nmt apps now to see if something on the stick got corrupted
Reformatting and reinstalling the apps fixed it, something must have gotten corrupted on the usb stick

Hi,
my problem (with 80% installation) solved by factory settings reset.
Thanks

Sad RE: Can't install any app v2
Installed the newest firmware and it didn't solve the problem.
So no one (even at Syabas) knows what 'error code 8' means? Sad

I have this problem too, I have error code 11.
i will try this factory reset business (sigh)
OK, I have reset and re everythinged, and so far so good!
I can now tick that one off the box of my PCh issues
only about 3 or 4 other issues to fix, but those are for other strings :-)

Sad RE: Can't install any app v2
I have the same problem. I have tried to install several Apps but every installation fails between 0 and 70% returning error=11.

I have the latest firmware installed (02-04-101206-21-POP-408-000) I also installed latest apps.nmt.

For some people the problem was solved after resetting NMT to factory settings. What in the custom settings caused the problem? When nobody knows the answer (even the NMT/NMJ guys), I will unfortunately have to try the "reset to factory settings trick" too.

But I do not think this is the way it should go. Not very user-friendly according to meDodgy. I did not have to go to factory settings when updating the firmware or apps on my Philips NetTV.

RE: Can't install any app v2
Do I have to go to "factory settings" each time I what to update my apps? I that is true I will not use the "apps market" Angry I will wait until the problem (failing install error=11) has been fixed in a new firmware release!
