If someone can tell me what the "?'s" are, i'll update the image. I hope this is useful for others. Note: my labeling of capacitors might not match the actual labels on the board for the Q2, Q3, C23-C25. I can't see mine.

Does anyone know how or where to get the STP10NK80ZF transistor in The Netherlands (Holland)?

RE: Repair C200 dead PSU
Hi Iced,
Thanks a bunch for the very clear explanation of the solder points and parts !! @Pusherman: I looked around a bit and i think best bet is to contact van Embden in Rotterdam. They sell about anything to do with electronics. I don't know if they ship items. You can always call them and check. cheers. |

However these are only the markings at the diode and I could not find ANY reference of it in Google. CX1 info is also posted there - mine CX1 got burned due to explosion of some resistor nearby... RE: Repair C200 dead PSU
Hi all,
Just wanted to let you know that replacing the 2 1000UF's and the 3 2200UF's (Replaced the original 10v ones with the mentioned 16v versions), and my PCH is running as new again. Big thanks to Mike for starting this thread and all other for their valuable input. It just shows that with a little help of this forum even a simple guys like me can fix a broken PSU

When I opened the SMPS it looks like below Has anybody replaced the cluster of three capacitors on the right of this PSU (unfortunately posting rules removed the picture, but its valdyasr's post) ? So I guess the three on the older version would equate to the three to the right of the circled capacitor on the right of this board? It seems like they are 330uF and 25V. Just wondering if this version is also giving problems. Thanks |

RE: Repair C200 dead PSU
First of all, thank you for the little tutorial
![]() I've managed to replace the 5 caps (3x 2200uf & 2x 1000uf, both 16v), but the PSU still doesn't work, it makes this weird sound every time I power it up now. Did you guys experience the same and do you think changing the P10NK80ZFP and the 4.7uf 400V would help? They seem to be fine, but I don't know how to measure them... Any help is appreciated. So, I noticed there is some different information in this topic, can somebody confirm that the above picture (that Iced posted on this page, for some reason I can't quote...) is correct regarding the 1000/2200uf caps? Thanks. |

RE: Repair C200 dead PSU
Hi Sp33dFr34k,
Originally the 2200UF's are 10v, but work fine (or even better with 16v versions). The 1000UF's however are 25v. If you replace them with lower versions (16v like you did) you might end up with the PSU giving not enough 'juice' to certain parts of your PCH. I would start with replacing the 1000UF 16v versions for 1000UF 25v ones. |

RE: Repair C200 dead PSU
Aaaaaahhh, didn't notice that, so I'll go out and buy 25v 1000uf's, thanks for the tip!
Can you confirm as well that C21 & C22 should be 1000uf's? |

RE: Repair C200 dead PSU
I thought so, thanks for confirming Iced. Will try it now with 25v's as I just got some and soldered them. I de(soldered) the caps for like 5 times now, hope it really DOES work this time...
![]() EDIT: Okay, still doesn't work, still flashing lights at the front as well as the motherboard. Any other thoughts? The big and small one seem to be fine tbh (and I cant even get those at the electronics shop), could it be the fuse? |

RE: Repair C200 dead PSU
I fixed the PSU but it broke again, so I replaced it with external ATX power and some 3 Months later it also broke... now what is the C200 doing as all powers seem to break? going to install another ATX, but not having too high hopes...
