Is there a minimum fw requirement for this update? I am still running the may firmware on my A-200.. is it ok to install this right away or do i need to install the first nmj firmware before upgrading to this one?

I have updated the firmware on my A200 02-04-101208-21-POP-411-000 and the apps to 02-04-101104-21-POP-411.
I have the Popcorn Hour WN-150.

My wireless networking no longer works. Connection in the Network panel says "Not available".

My wireless networking used to work before the firmware update.

My wireless network is detected in the scan (and set to broadcast).

I have Automatic IP selected because I want to use DHCP.

I have Auto DNS servers selected but I see two unknown DNS servers in the fields that are disabled to entry. 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222 (a quick Google search reveals these are the IP addresses to use if you want to use OpenDNS; I never input those numbers)

I have tried using rebooting my router, using the wireless manual IP setting, changing DNS servers, rebooting the device, unplugging the USB network adapter, unplugging the power from the A-200, re-entering the wireless password, etc.

During all of that, Connection in the Network panel changed to "Connecting", but then changed back to "Not available".

I saw the blue activiaty indication LED of the Popcorn Hour WN-150 blink a few times.

The MAC address shown for Wireless and Wired connections is the same.

I do not have any MAC address filtering on my router.

Music section, sort by Artist still shows error. I need NMJ to show me my music folders, organized the way I have them on HDD. Is it possible to add, sort by folder?

Also, in NMJ music view, when playing a song, I can not see elapsed time of the current playing song, use pause, ffwd or rewind on playing song, until I switch with source button from FLASH sign to MUSIC sign, and then is "old player" which was available before NMJ firmware.

Movie wall seems to work OK as it was.

I'll try the new NMJ and hope my House Season 6 is watchable again, previous version only showed, episode. And not the name or the episode number.

One question for the group. Anyone using a Harmony remote? Does anyone else find it annoying that every time you power on the Popcornhour NMJ is dropping back to non-NMJ? I know it is because the power up includes the Movie Button (Red). I am looking for what work around solutions others have implemented. It would be nice if the NMJ/Non-NMJ was in Settings and not a double key push.

I believe that this firmware has a fix in for Advanced Format HDD's. So if you have a HDD that you intend to install the NMT Apps on or one that is already used in that manner and you havent checked and aligned the HDD correctly, see WIKI article, then you should consider using the new firmware and doing a Fresh install so that the HDD is partiobed/aligned correctly.
Advanced format HDD use 4k sectors and are Samsung F4 and W.Digital EARS and PVT models.

Try setting your wireless security to WPA2 with AES only or TKIP only instead of AES + TKIP.

What about dropped audio ? What about judder which STILL EXIST ?

ADD FEATURES needs to be updated AFTER basic functions like PLAYBACK. This is my opinion

This is a quick bug fix release for a few quick fixes following the last full cycle release 4 weeks ago.

You talk about something you have not educated yourself about. Fireworks? I presume you may be talking about NMJ. If so then that is an entirely new resource using none of the engineers that work on what you may refer to as the firmware or playback. Fireworks have no effect on firmware development.

I put index.htm in the parent folder for all my media (ie same folder that contains the nmj_database folder). This index file can be found here http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...tid=46189 . It works for my harmony remote.

Just installed it; the NMJ was working great previously (285 movies, primarily BD from a WHS share) and it continues to work great. HOWEVER, my biggest 'complaint' was when adding a single movie (Update) it went through the whole database-approximately an hour and a quarter). Well, I added one test movie a short time ago..and it CONTINUES to go through the the ENTIRE database (UPDATE...NOT RE-SCAN)

What am I missing here ?????

P.S. a thought...I have Autoscan turned OFF. The above situation is when I elect to do a MANUAL UPDATE. Is the speedup time only applicable when Autoscan is enabled? But that wouldn't make sense...would it?

On the NMJ list view for movies having the sound/page button mapped to sound is counter intuitive. Users will more than likely want to page up and down the list of movies instead of having to go through them one by one. Having the button mapped to sound on that screen makes little sense because users aren't going to be adjusting the sound in that situation.


On the music screens you cant go through the list of albums without the NMJ freezing for a couple of seconds on each album. It seems as if the NMJ needs to bring up the album info first before it moves on to the next album which causes freezes as you go from album to album. If you are trying to scroll down the list to a particular album this freezing can be quite annoying.
