a-100 no longer playing most files (avi, mkv...)

hi there

i have an a-100 - i have had it for a long time and love it dearly. but recently it has just stopped playing a vast majority of avi's and mkvs that it was happy to play previously.
ill select the file as normal, the screen will go black, the network lights start flashing away (as per usual) but then it just stops - before it has actually rendered anything and lands back at the file listing.

has it finally died?

am hoping not.
pretty sure the firmware is up to date, and has been for some time.

any ideas/suggestions happily received.

if it is bricked. what are peoples thoughts on replacing it with the 200/210 110 .. ?

i use it 95% for playing movies in the bedroom, its connected via ethernet to me home network (dont need wifi) and grabs its content from my htpc downstairs.
i don't have a hard disk in it, as the copying was so slow i just gave up bothering.
i don't really play mp3s - although that is mostly because it wont play a playlist..

so if it is bricked maybe someone could recommend a replacement.

a new firmware should be out any day now...or is it months ?

it is fixed in the beta fw.

i dont see how this can be a firmware issue, when its onlky started doing this in the last few weeks. particularly on files that were playing with no problems before?

either way, where can i get the beta firmware from ?

the latest firmware update has done the trick, everything seems to be playing again..

Perhaps it was a mounting share problem!

After every firmware update you need to open/use CSI app so that it can reset the start_app.sh script
which is most likely resolving your mounting problems (ie: using something like mono-wrapper script).
