To make this complete, sox should be included as it is used to downsample higher bitrate tracks to a bitrate the SB device can handle. For example, 96/24 to 48/24 for the SB Classic and 44.1/16 for Squeezeplay.

Any news on the SoX or patched libraries? Sorry I've just got a Squeezebox and it's sitting there doing nothing. I'm hoping to try out the ALAC support before the 28 day return period is over.

Hi Vaidyasr,

I can see on the updated opkg list that there is a new squeezebox server update but which other libraries have change or need installing. I can find anything named sox/alac and no updates seem to be present for faad and flac. Also I guess that the new squeezebox server version is: 7.6.1-33110-1

Is there any chance to have SBS 7.7.x in the Popcorn C-200?

I find a great solution for my NAS Synology DS107+ (look at SSODS in http://oinkzwurgl.org/ssods) but the election media server is the Popcorn so... please...

Ah, the old Slimserver, then replaced by the SqueezeServer, followed by the SqueezeCenter, then IIRC the Squeezebox Server -- and now introducing...

Log4perl: Seems like no initialization happened. Forgot to call init()?

How do I disable/enable autostart up please?

The log4perl issue was due to the permission issue. I also faced the same and after I gave 777 permissions to /share/Apps/local/slimserver directory it works fine. You can rename S99squeezecenter.sh to S99squeezecenter.sh.disabled or remove the .sh extension to disable the startup automatically.

The media server is running ok, but I would like to enable/disable it. Where can I find the script you identified above? I have the latest Okpg installation.

@andym2009 the script will be under /share/Apps/local/etc/init.d directory. You don't have to rename it. You can find the default file under /share/Apps/local/etc/default directory. There a variable called START_DAEMON which default value is yes. You can change it to no.

thanks for all the work you've done on this. Was just wondering if you've thought about compiling the SqueezePlay beta to install as an "app" on the c-200. With the lack of ALAC support, adding this would give us ALAC support, albeit in a really roundabout way.
