Hi all, can someone send me a link to the HDX1000 firmware recover files since their site is down again? Any file share service would do.

RE: HDX 1000 firmware recovery
Come on guys help a fellow HDX owner out.

Have you tried renaming the latest firmware 'recovery-image.bin' as that works on the PCH.

RE: HDX 1000 firmware recovery
I do have a couple of files, but I don't know how to recover with them.

Recovery files:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6872402/HDX1000/...03-063.zip

Firmware:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6872402/HDX1000/...03-000.zip
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6872402/HDX1000/...DD-403.zip

apps:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6872402/HDX1000/...DD-403.nmt

The files above are "as is" and using them is on your own risk.

RE: HDX 1000 firmware recovery
Recovery hdx is same as recovery PCH, check there pages for info.
Corrupt firmware can always be repaired is my experience, broken hardware is something else.

In short: if you still have logo, boot hdx with recovery firmware on usb (composite not hdmi), if hdx does nothing, you can force boot from usb with correct jumper settings.
I don't know if hdx has 5 jumpers like pch. I have used this method once on a Kaifa and that unit had 2 jumpers which had to be connected both to work.

RE: HDX 1000 firmware recovery
Hi, I also have an issue with my HDX 1000. Some days ago it didn't boot any more. I only got the red power light, and a message 'no signal found'. I don't use any HDD in the HDX.

I tried the recovery procedure (with jumper & composite) already several times, with the 3 different firmwares given by BjornHeirman. Each time I receive the red screen, which fills with dots and ends in a full white screen.
I then shut down the HDX, remove the USB & jumper and reboot the HDX.
The result is always the same:
- using composite: I get the boot screen for 1 sec, followed by a green screen
- using HDMI: I only get a 'no signal found'-message

I tried the 'tv-mode' trick, but doesn't help
Also important: my power-light always remains red, and never turns blue.

Any last useful advice/help from anyone, before I go buy a new media player? Would be much appreciated.

RE: HDX 1000 firmware recovery
It is not necessarily anything wrong with the firmware so recoving may not fix it.

The signal is not being displayed. So it's struggling to get a video output that the TV can cope with. Keep trying TVmode, wait half second 0, wait 5 secs via composite or via HDMI tvmode ad then 7.

Can you still connect to it via your network etc.
Try a different power lead/PSU if possible. Just seen your LED comment which I missed before. That doesnt look good im afraid however you do say that it does still power on to be able to recover it.

try the Hungarian site in the HDX firmware sticky to see if they have a more up to date recovery file.

I downloaded your files and placed them on usb (which HDX1000 recognized).
After boot the player boot normally and doesn't start any update process. Sad
Is there any settings I need to do before? Someone mentioned jumper settings, how to do that?

Two days ago, player started to freeze while playing files from inside hard drive (works fine with usb). I removed the drive, but having trouble to install apps on the new one. My firmware is 50-17-100317-15-HDD-403 and trying to use NMT Apps Version: 00-17-091216-15-HDD-403

Any help very appreciated!
