VOB playback stutters, MKV 1080p is fine...WTF

So I've started having troubles with VOB playback. Everything stutters. These are DVD Rips. Played fine about a few weeks ago. Only thing I have changed is that I have the media on a dedicated drive on my server and SSD for the OS. Anyway, I have 1080p MKV files on the same drive and they play absolutely flawless. This is really starting to aggrevate me. The drive shows 0% fragmentation. I've updated the firmware and it still does it. HELP!!

There are several threads on this...search vob stutter.

There was some indication that there is a reoccurring issue with the last several FW releases. I believe the March FW is working well but I suggest a little research.

It plays fine now. Really weird, but I will try the older firmware if it happens again. I thought it was activity of the computer causing it to do it but it wasnt doing anything except stream to the PCH.

Same here after the latest firmware started to have trouble with VOB playback. It stutters of just stops. HELP!!!!

Latest FW upgrade causes VOB stutter......it's driving me crazy as most of my DVD library is in VOB

Werner...please advise why this would occur after the FW update???
