PS3 used as NMT
Anybody try/ modification PS3 used for NMT ?
what is the review ? what is the hard disk limit supported ? I read PS3 uses the FAT32 system to format the drive, which has a limit of 2TB Thanks http://vgstrategies.about.com/od/ps3chea...veSwap.htm |

PS3 uses only FAT on external drives. Internal is sony-modified ext3. But you'll have to wait for someone to port one of the media players to it.

Also, not sure why you want to attach a HDD anyway, don't you know what the "N" stands for in NMT

You cannot use the PS3 as a NMT. Only Syabas NMT middleware can be run on the Popcorn players and other early 100 series OEM.
The PS3 can be used to watch your movie and act as a media player but not a media tank. The PS3 does not support as many formats as the NMT and Sony has license issues and in new PS3 cinevera.
