Same here (also A-200 with -current firmware). I have a DVD-RW-Drive (RC2) via USB on an improved P-ATA-HDD-Case (I'm only using the USB2PATA-Interface of the case).

CDs are playing well with it, but any time, I start the app, I'm getting the message: "No CD Backup Firmware detected !!! press any key to exit ..." maybe, I'll finally get my ANY-Key at the HDX/NMT/PCH/Syabas-Remotecontrol. :-)

I'll bet they stripped out the back up portion of the firmware when they ported it from C200 to A200/10

At first, I checked my A200 for available firmware-updates. -- By the way: Hey Syabas/PCH-Team(s): Please also enable 12bit(per channel) YUV-DeepColor-support -- maybe for testing only).

Hi guys sorry for the issue, talked with the firmware team and they told me that the A2xx firmware doesn't have the CD Backup library like C-200, we will include the needed libary with the next firmware update.

What about the level of compression for the Flac format?
Is it adjustable? If not, then please add the possibility.

Yes, as far as I know, it is reported to work with an external optical drive as well. As for the compression, no levels are selectable yet. About the current compression and speed, see my post #8 in this thread.

Indeed, my thoughts. I'd like to compress with the highest possible compression, as it is lossless, and don't bother waiting if I don't want to use the C-200 for anything else at the same time. On the opposite, if compression is not optimal, I'd rather use my PC to create the FLACs.

Additionally, I'm sure that people would want to select the quality level for MP3 as well, once it is supported.

This was really nice, especially for a audio-buff like me who uses the C-200 mostly for music. I agree that it would be nice to be able to save to my NAS insead of the internal HDD but hey, we are talking about a 1.0 here. I guess there will be things happening in the future
