RE: C-200 Dead PSU - Just for the record
the newest psu was better then the original. a psu is one of them items that dies out quick if it has a defect. and since you are under warranty you should get it free.

RE: C-200 Dead PSU - Just for the record
My PSU died a month or two ago - out of warranty of course.
Sure, the shipping charge grates but the new PSUs certainly at first glance look a better built unit (and as an aside seem to put less noise back onto the mains) - yes, ideally it would have been best not to have had it go and it does certainly appear to be a generic fault with the original PSUs that if it had happened on the kit that my employer makes we'd have covered even out of warranty but the C200 is a cheap product and so the margins generally aren't there to do so. Anyway - the new PSU arrived in about 4 days from the US and it's all fixed now so happy days. :-D Phil £300 of C200 feeding £60k of Naim AV2, NAC252 / SuperCap, HDX, nDAC + XPS, SNAXO + HiCap, 3 x NAP300 / NAP300PS, NAP145, NAP250, Naim NBL, Axent and Arriva in the AV room... £200 of A110 feeding £10k of Naim n-Vi , NDX, n-Cent and Allae in the bedroom... ...now tell me life isn't f*ck*d up! |

RE: C-200 Dead PSU - Just for the record
My a210 has the same problem I think.
just died on me again. Now I have to wait a few hours, then it works again. When I put the power cable in again the white light keeps flashing every other second and nothing happens. I need to no whether this is a hardware issue or not. If it is, I will send it back and hope for the best. It is like 1 month old. an other thread on this issue is here: http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...?tid=51850 |

RE: C-200 Dead PSU - Just for the record
Take a picture of the PSU for us if you can, I'd be surprised if it wasn't a bulging capacitor issue

RE: C-200 Dead PSU - Just for the record
Bench - please stop posting in C200 threads.
The C200 has entirely different hardware setup with a startup that involves a LCD screen and a PSU that is incorporated inside the unit. The PSU problems makes the C200 inoperable ALL of the time. You seem to have intermittent issues and again the hardware in the A210 is different. Please just RMA the damn thing and stop spamming C200 threads and indeed any thread where anyone mentions a problem with a player:- http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...?tid=52582 http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...#pid491830 You even have your own thread in the BUG section so why are you plaguing C200 threads now I dont know:- http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...?tid=52651 It is not unusual fomr some electronic devices to fail, so get on with the return and it will be done in a quicker time than you have been posting on the forum trying to find an answer to a hardware problem most likely. Testing without the HDD. Testing with only files that you yourself know are fine and aren't patched scene downloads that cause problems. Etc. Testing with direct > HDMI > TV. Doesnt seem to fix it so please please get on to your reseller or support. From the white flashing pinprick led it could be as simple as the power cable is not connecting into the socket properly or the external brick PSU may be at fault, if you have a A100 around use its PSU to test. The only PSU problem with this is C200 PSU's bought more than 18 months earier. Then only some have the problem. Haha yeah, I saw thread title and looked past his 'a210;' bit, just assuming he was talking about the C200 psu.

RE: C-200 Dead PSU - Just for the record
Get a new PS from PCH or have a friendly electro-technician fix it for you.
New and improved one from PCH costs around 50 euro all in. PCH-A100/A210/C200/A400 500GB EXT3 HDD<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Onkyo TX-NR1010<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Panasonic TX-P46S10 13 NTFS USB drives on 3 hubs attached to the A300, 3 Seagate blackarmour NAS 3TB, 2 Seagate Central 4TB The inability to setup and configure the NMT should not be disguised as a defect of the box |

RE: C-200 Dead PSU ?
Not sure if I am in the right section. When I power on my c-200 nothing happens just the power button light flashes red and keeps on Flashing Red.
I have unplugged the power over night and tried to turn it on in the morning. Same flashing red light Has the power supply finally died on this unit? or is it something else? I don't mind ordering a replacement as I have had this unit for well over a year. |

RE: C-200 Dead PSU - Just for the record
On the 23th of January 2010 I bought my PCH C200. It worked without any problems for 3 weeks. On a sad probably rainy day, it died for unknown reason. I went to the reseller and they replaced it within 5 minutes. That PCH worked reasonably well (some HD corruption problems etc.) for more than a year. It died again. I went back to the same reseller. He told me that I had to wait for 2 or 5 weeks for the repair. The reseller expects the repaired PCH C200 back within one week. Two dead PCH within 2 years. Is the average lifetime of a PCH about 1 year?
