Hi All!

Can I Install YouTube App on my Popcorn Hour A-100?

Greetings,

I love this app when it's working, but almost every video I watch on my C-300 suffers from video artifacts. When there's a change of background in the video I'm watching the PCH seems to hold onto the prior background producing a sometimes strange looking mish-mash of the two.

I'm hoping an update will cure this as I think I've eliminated all the other possibilities: cleared cache, 10/100, un/reinstall, and messing with the resolution.

Any schedule for future updates?

I tried to watch a YouTube LIVE concert stream last night.
Basically it doesn't work. Just showing a blank screen.
A couple of times a google ad tried to play then stopped.
So I had to go back to sitting in front of the computer for 2 hours.
Is this ability something that has even been considered?

the live is an interesting one because the video player comes from youtube not from syabas. the wrapper to find things to watch is the syabas part. did you happen to try lean back to see if it worked in that one? the youtube app would be the mobile player where leanback is there tv player.

I didn't mention what player I had etc.
C-200. YouTube App 2.21 with 3 June 2011 firmware
I didn't think Leanback was available for the C200 yet.

It's only like once a year I get to try the LIVE stream.

It's possible that not having the latest firmware has backfire for me.

Thanks. But after firmware upgrade i can no longer connect to any internet service at all. I can only stream from my NAS within my own network.
I am using a wifi antenna since I am unable to route a LAN cable to my PCH. Yesterday with old firmware it was no problem to connect to intetnet such as youtube service. Now unable to connect. Settings are good both in PCH and router, I even added DMZ to IP of my PCH but no connection.
Maybe something wrong with the new firmware?

After i upgraded to the new a-210 firmware I got some serious youtube problems here.
Upgrades -> Factory Reset made -> installed youtube.
Playing clips in 1080p plays for 10-15 seconds and crashes to a black screen. I'm also suffering from the "lags + no sound" in those 15 seconds of joy.
Any idea?
For example you can search for "Rihanna Where Have You Been" . make sure that video quality in settings is set to 1080p.

Is there an option to rollback youtube versions?

No, and nobody care about it. Since the last upgrade, the YouTube app suffers the same problem on my c200. Useless now.
