Netatalk is a freely-available Open Source AFP fileserver. It also provides a kernel level implementation of the AppleTalk Protocol Suite. A *NIX/*BSD system running Netatalk is capable of serving many Macintosh clients simultaneously as an AppleShare file server (AFP), AppleTalk router, *NIX/*BSD print server, and for accessing AppleTalk printers via Printer Access Protocol (PAP). Included are a number of minor printing and debugging utilities.

Installation:
For 100 Series : O-PKG.
For 200/300 Series : O-PKG.
For 400 Series : O-PKG.

Any chance to have Netatalk in A110 repo? Apple just broke the TimeMachine backup support to simpe SMB shares with Lion, need to find alternative. ThanX

I still have an A-110, and would love to get netatalk on it so that I can access the content I have on my Apple Time Capsule. Currently it seems like SMB worked in Leopard/Snow Leopard, but is broken in Lion. In any case, SMB was so slow I couldn't watch 1080p content wirelessly. If AFP is enabled on the popcorn hour A-110, I can get to that content on the Time Capsule making my A-110 useful again. Currently it has become just a *dumb* player, playing what I have transferred over to its internal hard drive.

I installed netatalk via i-pkg and tried connect to afp://pch-a200 but I'm not having any luck. Do I need to enable it or start it somehow? How do I verify that the service is running?

I've installed iPKG and used it to install Netatalk. However, my popcorn hour does not recognize my TimeMachine. I think there needs to be some more configuration to be done. I'm at a loss, is there anyone that can help?

Id like to use my c200 with time Machine in OSX Lion. Netatalk 2.2 is going to be avaliable for the c200 on opkg?

netatalk already available on opkg for c200 series.

Ok, but it´s version 2.1.5. The new Mac OSX Lion needs version 2.2 to Time Machine works. Are you planning release version 2.2 for the opkg??.
