Request: Zoom default option in settings
Ok, so I'm sure this affects a lot of us, especially those of us whose TV's don't have an option to adjust overscan.
Would it be possible to just have a new option in the settings to specify a 'constant' zoom setting? For instance, every video I play I need to 'Zoom out' to 95. Every time. Seems logical to just be able to tell the C200 to auto zoom out to that level everytime to save me the job ![]() I know the A100/A110 attempted to remember the last setting used, but in my experience it didn't really work all that well. The setting would be remembered, but not actually applied until I navigated to the zoom setting, at which point you could visibly see the picture zoom out. What do you reckon Werner, and other users? |

RE: Request: Zoom default option in settings
Hello.
I'm totaly agree. For me, the problem of the A-110 not applied until navigated in the zoom setting occurs only with mkv, not avi or mp4. More : I've speend a lot of time explaining this to the technical support, and their answer was that they were not able to reproduce the problem, and my A-110 have an hardware faillure !! RE: Request: Zoom default option in settings
If you get bored you could always install the shell prompt and run
Code: cp /tmp/setting.txt /share/backupthen install csi to get start_app.sh and add Code: rm /tmp/setting.txtAnd it would backup your bookmarks as well =) |

In there you can turn overscan off. Dont touch anything you dont know what it does though. Like shop mode. as that = in store torch mode. and your tv will live a short life lol. |

[Feature Request] Storing zoom settings
I find the zoom function really useful for viewing photos full screen on my SD TV – I get quite a lot of over-scan and I constantly find myself setting the zoom to 90% to see the whole picture.
I know there are quality issues involved, but it’s worse (when viewing photos) to have the edges cut off vs. a few minor scaling artefacts. The annoying thing is that the zoom settings are lost when exiting a slide show. If possible, I think it would be really useful for the zoom setting to be stored in memory so it stays the same. Preferably separate settings for video and photos. So what would people think to the PCH storing zoom settings for video and photos? |

RE: [Feature Request] Storing zoom settings
does the video setting "fit to screen" help in anyway?

RE: [Feature Request] Storing zoom settings
No, unfortunately it doesn’t. The overscan is the same and zoom to 90% is required.

RE: [Feature Request] Storing zoom settings
Because of the normal overscan on many screens and the "zoom out" option implemented to compensate for that, I know many users have previously also asked for an ability to store prefered zoom level under settings to avoid having to zoom out everytime they watch something. Like a "permanent overscan compensation setting"
I agree that it would be a good option to put in the settings if possible, but I dont know if theres any problems doing so since it hasnt been implemented yet. Anyways, it gets my vote

RE: [Feature Request] Storing zoom settings
storing subtitle settings (position,size,color...) is more important for me. But big chance they can be implemented in the same time?

I don't have the A110 anymore though, and the C200 doesn't have the settings remembered just yet.
