I haven't done any extensive testing, but I did note that I still get a black edge to all the letters when using the black/white setting, while I was watching earlier.

I've tested some other movies/series now and they worked fine as well. No idea why the first one behaved as it did, but if it's only that one (or even a few others) I'm not complaining Cool
Thanks for replying Smile

Just updated, and all seems to be fine.. Everything clicking along so far...Just deleted my nmj database and started it over again and it seems to have scanned faster, found most everything. I am seeing the one's that weren't found I didn't include the year in the title when saving them. Just a simple few clicks of the remote and I have them added..

So far, so good!

I updated with the new FW but my disney BD can't be reed (this problem is knowed) but the french support said that this new FW should resolve this problem and it don't my C200 ever freez on black screen after the traillers.

Are you using an HDMI connection to the display? I believe that is the only way it will work when playing a physical BD.

Also for transparency we beta testers also feel dread every time a new Disney BD title comes out and we cross our fingers it will play back using the BDROM drive attached to C200.

However, so far once we have ripped it to strip it of encryption, all the titles play well.

Its a known issue with disney disc's. It would not be fixed in a normal firmware release. if anything you need to wait for the new sdk to come into effect in about 2 firmwares from now. that might fix it. But we have no idea has beta testers have not had a beta with it in it yet.

Installed March 11 firmware - went to NMJ to update the database, it got as far as "Verifying Database" and hung.

I hope this isn't one of the improvements with this release?

I can post my experience:
i was very interested about this feature since it comes out for the first time. After some test i gave up scanning my 2TB disk with BD movies, within 10 hours the progress bar was hanging.

With this firmware release NMJ scanned my entire disk in few minutes, it recognized all my movies with cover art and painted the movie wall.

I was really impressed and surprised, thanks you to all guys (programmer, beta tester and final user for the feedback).

Now, with these performance improvement i'm looking forward to release 2.0 of NMJ, i'm sure it will be somthing impressive Big Grin

Plenty of users having problems with 'Up'. Have a look in the 200 series video section.

One issue I noticed is when playing .flac albums, small gaps are introduced between songs.
This occures for Vampire Weekend - Contra album for example between tracks 1&2 2&3.But also other albums are affected.

The gap sometimes is not noticeable and sometimes as significant as 0.5 sec.
No issue like this on previous version of the firmware, can anyone confirm?

Both recent (yesterday) and old 720p 25fps MKV files appear to play with odd frames out of order, producing stutter. Have reported this with every firmware since May 2010. Come on Syabas, this has been reported since May last year and renders all my TV recorded MKV's unwatchable, yes remuxing can fix it but I have GBytes of MKV that used to play absolutely wonderfully fine and are now rendered unwatchable.Angry

Just put back May 2010 firmware and all back to smooth 720p 25fps playback.confused

This bug annoys the hell out of me as well.

It is reported on Mantis to Syabas, its a bug number 0000416 for reference.
They could do with some more samples Ian apparently. PM me with some <100Mb samples if you have any.

If you switch to 1080i you may find things don't stutter, may be preferable to losing features through downgrading the firmware.
Well yesterday I got a .ts file of BBC 1 Episode 1 Come Fly With Me, recorded from FreeSat. Converted to 720p using RipBot264 (broadcast resolution is 1440x1080i) and surprise surprise, flickers. Back to May 2010 firmware plays absolutely fine and smooth no issues.

I might have some .MKV's less than 100MByte (Shaun the sheep, for the kids, not me...), but at the moment at work (and supposed to be working) I have completely lost contact, via VPN, to my home network, so can't access my PC, servers or Popcorn Hour......Angry
