I asked Werner if it was the man himself and was he working with Syabas on the NMT months ago and got it confirmed.

So with the Syabas guys working with Matroska, and haali on the forum as a developer with Syabas I think its a pretty formidable team.

What it leads to or is even possible on the Sigma chip i'll never know. I havent signed any NDA.

I have issues with some of my HD movies I previously could play without issues now with the 11-03-2011 firmware installed.
The popcorn c-200 seems to have trouble with the image display. Because the sound workes perfectly during this issue.
sometimes is goes directly dark, and sometimes there is a quick glitch like an old TV that is turned off...

I have reverted to the earlier firmware and I had no trouble playing any movie.
I have reupgraded the firmware and have now the same issues again.
it really seems to be a issue in the firmware.

I tried to open a case but they recommended to post this here.

You need to get more specific, 'some movies' doesnt tell us anything.

Get a thread started in the 200 series Video section, fire up mediainfo, list your settings, hardware, type of connections etc. etc.

With the new firmware, I cannot play my ISO files any-more. The C-200 cannot access my shared folders in XP. It just try to connect, but nothing happens. When I return to the older firmware, it works.

What is changed in the new firmware?

Did you upgrade the NMT applications also?
if so stop and restart the SAMBA service and make sure that the WORKGROUP is active in your windows network and it's not called MSHOME or anything else...

I have the same issues it freeze at 3 movies in 10 minutes (1GB) WMV with Wma V9 Pro

Another issue I just noticed, watching HD movies from PC over 100Mb LAN, while having some hard drive activiy like a search or a file copy will make playing to stop for some time and then slowly becoming a slideshow. I never noticed this before. Can someone confirm same issue?

confirm.... if the source can not supply the bandwidth the movie needs you will see this.

I find it hard to believe 2Tb WD Black with avarage 100Mbps read speed cannot supply with 30Mpbs (MAX), while doing other operations. Even if it can't, still do not understand how come I didn't notice it before firmware upgrade.

You mean when you do a search or drive copy on your computer that is streaming to movie to the pch it slows down? that is pretty normal. depending on the system could be cpu overhead. could just be your drive has gotten fuller and the seeking back and fourth is taking to much time. to keep up with the hd stream. Next time open task manager and check cpu usage

I see the same: HD movie sometimes becoming slideshow when playing over network from NAS. I found workaround for this. If I start samba server on c-200, HD movie run without problem. I don't know how can it be, but it's really work. I run october FW (last one without NMJ).

I've got an i7 8 cores, 4.2Ghz, I doubt it can possibly be even closed to be used by PCH or a copy operation, but I checked it anyway.
On the 2nd tought could be that disk require a defrag somehow?
Again I'm pointing that it never happened before an upgrade, I haven't degraded the PC since.

Samba establishes a trust relation with the windows workgroup as it identifies the C200 as a windows system.
@denisoftus your system can keep you HD so busy with whatever it's doing, that it wont allocate the right bandwidth to that one remote task from that foreign system(NMT).
You never noticed that you had to wait because your PC was busy with some task....now I find that hard to believe...

I have a subtitle issue with some dvd isos, switching subtitle on, off and then on from remote (with subtitle button) freeze player (the system still responding via telnet). Same problem reading from C200 attached drives and via NFS drives with March and December firmware.
