Why is it ? That everytime i try and run the update and then update my network NMT apps firmware says it doesn't match the firmware of my pch-200 ? This update doesn't work via ethernet or USB !!!!
This thing (C-200) has a RIDICULOUS amount of set-up ! Can someone tell me when a Plug-n-Play model will become available with the features of the C-200 ? This is over my head

Cause every time you fail to upgrade the NMT applications, download them from the popcornhour website... put them on a USB stick and upgrade the NMT applications from that stick... Stutters like no other.Big Mistake DO NOT INSTALL ANY APPS ESPECIALLY "YOUTUBE" oh and BTW that was the very lastest updated Youtube app that came out today or yesterday. How do I get file names back in the display I don't care about apps anymore if it plays my files I'll be happy with that. Now how do you suppose anyone can make heads or tails of your problem and how to solve it if you continue to assume the system is at fault, first accept the fact that it does work correctly for all other users, then provide the facts on how you setup your C200 and see if anyone can help you in getting your setup in order.
first thing I would do is reset the configuration to factory default, then insert a USB stick with the latest firmware and NMT applications, then configure the C200 to match your audio, video and network equipment. When in doubt read the WiKi.... link at the top of each page of this forum. Oh yeah dont forget this is a user forum and we all dont work for PCH but are willing to help each other if we can. Ranting and taking your own experience for a fact will not get you anywhere... The point is (I think), the firmware makes 3D MKV support "official" following Matroska standards for use of it's container.
The Sigma 8643 cannot display 1080p 3D video streams. A200 connected to 32" Samsung UA32C5000 C200 connected to Denon 1610 AVR and 42" LG 42LH50YR Encore ENHGS-500 5 port Gigabit switch. |

It also signals your tv to go into 3d mode.

It would play before but you had to switch your TV into 3D mode, now it should autochange back and forth. More reassuring for me is to see how close the guys at Syabas are getting with Matroska. With Haali also involved in the development its quite a powerful team now working on the NMT MKV side of things. I hadnt tried to play 3D before this firmware update, but I have to manually switch my TV to 3D mode with the new update anyway. Mine doesnt auto-switch :-( I love the 3D though, and both my TV and the C-200 say that the signal is 1080P , but i guess that means overall and not for each eye |

If it doesnt autoswitch it is because you have either more than one '.' in the filename or the filename does not follow the instructions in the changelog and have 3DSBS or 3DTAB at then end.
Here's two test files: 3DTAB sample: http://www.multiupload.com/AO20N1GSPX 3DSBS sample: http://www.multiupload.com/GTBS82N72H A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

This firmware upgrade caused some headaches for me!
1. Upgraded f/w, rebooted and ran nmj. Scan stopped at 50% on one movie and would not continue. Deleted that movie and tried again - same result. 2. Decided to go back to directory view (pressing red button) and started watching film (720p mkv file). No problems there but remote was now totally inoperative. 3. Rebooted C200 and continued to watch film OK with remote working. 4. Deleted and reinstalled nmj but scan still hung at 50%. Went back to directory view 5. Movie played but remote inoperative. Let movie run to very end to see what happened. C200 locked up, no response from remote or front controls. Seems there is a problem if scanning fails to complete? |

Does that mean that we might be able to enjoy 2in1 bluray rips using the MKV feature Ordered Chapters (see references)? That would be so great! References: - Ordered chapters as described by Haali himself: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=99489 - And here by TheFluff (an idiotic writing style he might have, but he does know what he talks about): http://mod16.org/hurfdurf/?p=8 |
