[BUG] C200 802.11g instead of n
This newest firmware (02-04-110308-21-POP-408-000) as well as the past couple, December and November, no longer allow me to connect the Popcorn Hour to my network at 802.11n, with the Popcorn Hour Mini MII PCI Wifi N card (MN-200).
Using the firmware from October I can connect at 802.11n speeds ![]() Upgrading to anything after that my speed drops to 802.11g ![]() I tried the current firmware before and after upgrading my routers firmware to 2.01NA with the same results. I know that wired is the preferred connection method but that currently isn't an option for me. Router D-Link DIR-655 Hardware Version: B1 Firmware Version: 2.01NA |

Hi, I have exactly the same problem (except I never connected to n, because I'm new user), but I have the same router and even got another one - only for the NMT an TV set - I have g-connection. My TV nest to the MNT is connected on n !! Did you get any answer yet ??? RE: [BUG] C200 802.11g instead of n
Maybe a Beta tester can create a test report on this issue in MANTIS.
At least we can hear if this is by choice or a configuration mistake by Syabas. PCH-A100/A210/C200/A400 500GB EXT3 HDD<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Onkyo TX-NR1010<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Panasonic TX-P46S10 13 NTFS USB drives on 3 hubs attached to the A300, 3 Seagate blackarmour NAS 3TB The inability to setup and configure the NMT should not be disguised as a defect of the box |

RE: [BUG] C200 802.11g instead of n
Finally got around to installing the newest firmware (02-04-110422-21-POP-408-000) and I am still have the exact same issue. I wasn't expecting it to be fixed since there wasn't really any acknowledgment, but I had hoped. Well, back to last October's firmware (02-03-101006-21-POP-408-000) it is.
Does anyone know if there were any big changes to the firmware between October and November that would have caused this? Anybody else connect only via wireless that isn't have this issue? is it just my router? RE: [BUG] C200 802.11g instead of n
This will be a slow go.
Most know that .11g is pretty useless for streaming and although .11n is more useful, it's not that common among the posters here. Your looking for a very select few. Lots of luck in your quest. C-200, A-110 both playing from a DIY Linux Raid 5 server. Remuxes, Captures and Transcodes done on a desktop running; Win7, Intel i7 hexacore processor with 24 GB ram, WD VR OS drive and a WD Black 2 TB data drive. |

RE: [BUG] C200 802.11g instead of n
I've had reasonable success streaming even HD content via .11g (properly compressed). There are certainly problems, though -- problems solved (for me) by .11n. At the least, it would make copying files to the internal HDD far less time-consuming. .11n support was in fact what first prompted me to buy an A200 with bundled WiFi adapter clearly advertised to me as supporting 802.11n. If I was able to run a cable from my PC to TV, I'd run a video cable and use the PC for rendering, making my purchase unnecessary.
