UMC 2.0 Movies don't start (iso, VIDEO_TS, BDMV)

Hi,
thx for accident, Werner, GreenOnyx and all of you who reported the issue:
with the last firmware 02-04-110308-21-POP-408-000 (march 2011) it doesn't work.

With the 02-04-101206-21-POP-408-000 (december 2010) it should work.

Unfortunately there is an error in he way UMC starts the movies. We will do a correction (should actually be in Revamp Skin, ie independent of UMC 2.1)

If you can't wait:
install the correct firmware
edit the umc.db (UMC/database)

Table FRONTEND_MOVIES und in the column nmtPathRoot there should be something like "file:///opt/..."
Remove "file://" ie it should be "/opt/..."

If you have many to edit, just copy the jar to the UMC/database folder, make a backup copy of umc.db and then start the jar.

Thanks for the info mooh. Just to confirm what the "correct firmware" is for the manual modification. The nmtPathRoot should be modified for the db to work with the old december version of the firmware? Or it should be modified so that it works with the latest march firmware?

March 2011 firmware is completely broken inside the firmware. There is no fix to make march 2011 work, you have to downgrade to older firmware and do the database fix if you want rips to work right now.

I find that this column is blank for each and every row - even for rows referring to .iso movies ...

Yes, you need to enter the path and be sure to press the 'ok' button, such that the greyed out text box shows a path (this is the path that you are missing in the table).

The information in this thread does not apply to UMC 2.1.0 -- can you check your umc.db file (eg with SQLLiteSpy) to see what the nmt* tables have as values in the FRONTEND_MOVIES table?

I have my movies on a nas, and i see that i need to wait the 2.1.1 to fix this problem.
If i open my folder on the mnt gui, it's working.
