NMT Streaming to Airport Express Question
Hello,
I am new here, I have recently bought a Popcorn Hour A210 and what a brilliant device! I'm loving the extra features I can squeeze out of it! I am just wondering what my next step is for the grand plan media solution in my home. I have admired Airport Expresses for a while now for their cheaper receiver price and the ability to hook into the iPhone remote app. Is there a way you can install the iTunes client on the NMT in order to send music to Airport Expresses around the house? No PC required? I have looked around a bit for a solution to do this with no success so far The other solution I have is multiple squeezeboxes as there is already a build for slimserver for the NMT but squeezeboxes are a more expensive unit than Airport Expresses to duplicate around the house Thanks |

RE: NMT Streaming to Airport Express Question
Hello perkmark,
As I know you can use C2xx Airplay application just to stream Video (non audio) from any Ip*d. This work almost fine (tested). I'm still using an a110 with MPD appliction attached to the amplifier and sound well, I have had just to convert apple lossless file in flac becouse MDP server doesn't recognize .m4a files (Itune lossless) . I have also airport express and apple tv. Both works fine, unfortunatly ATV doesn't have analogues outputs but the interaction with Ip*d is awesome. What i tested is the UPNP streaming from popcorn to ATV that works fine: The streaming from PCH to airport requires the usage of PC and another application called airfoil .... It works but is boring complex. Regards |
