Question I just bought a AivX Storex NMT-391, help me?
Hi good morning, this is my 1st thread, I appreciate a lot to me well not to start.

A few days ago to buy this NMT which is very comprehensive but I would like to make the most possible.

Starting from:

How do I connect wirelessly with a USB stick? I have it connected to a dlink by blinking but I can not see the section where you can get data from my wifi router.

How do I see the files / drives I have shared on my pc?
connect it via cable and could not see any files.

And to use it as a BT client?

This apparently came hd formatted to linux but when I bought told me they were already in NTFS because people do not see them back to windows and so I have it. 1 partition in NTFS.

Thank you very much Tongue

RE: I just bought a AivX Storex NMT-391, help me?
The one link in English that I found for this player suggests that it is the same as a 100 series NMT. It runs the Sigma 8635 chip.

For wireless you need only certain dongles:
http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...100_Series
Dont get distracted with Linux, your PC will have no problems via network accessing the players filesystem. Only if you attach direct via USB do you need to consider using Linux Ext drivers on your PC to then read the disc contents.
http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i.../USB_Slave
If you have formatted to NTFS make sure that it is only the large storage partition and that the NMT Apps are installed and working well.

To use it on your PC you need those NMT Apps and SMB server ON:

Hi, thanks for such a quick response.
1GB hard disk completely formatted to NTFS permission. And of course, to go to the options for me to configure the hard disk tells me that you reformat, you lose the data?
I would serve this adapter wifi? http://www.tp-link.com/es/products/produ...TL-WN722NC

No it wont work, the ones that will work are in the WIKI page.

USB dongle WiFi is a bit of a waste of time.

If you have formatted the whole drive back to NTFS then you have lost the NMT Apps and thereby the ability to transfer content via your network to your HDD.

You need the version of syb8634.nmt that matches the firmware that the Avix has on it.

You will need to remove your content as it will erase and partition the HDD when it installs the Apps. You can then if you wish change the largets Ext storage partition to NTFS via this method:
http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...n=lastpost

Will it download the NMT Apps via online update? Setup>Maintenance>NMT Setup Wizard>Fresh Format>Online as source of update file.

RE: I just bought a AivX Storex NMT-391, help me?
You can't. Each version of sybnmt8634 is different for each manufacturer.

Each manufacturer also has different licensing agreements for their firmware with parties like DTS. So Syabas has to tailor each firmware and apps for each OEM.

Some OEM's don't support their NMT units any further than one initial release. Your issue is with Storex and also a reason why cheap is not always best. Syabas are still releasing firmware updates for their Popcorn A100/A110 but they are more expensive for this reason. Dont ask if you can change firmware to suit as that would cause potential issues for legal owners who have paid for licenses through buying from PCH. It will also get you banned from the forum pretty damn quick as well. Read the forum rules if you are worried about a post they are explicit on the subject.

Email Storex and ask them to make the NMT Apps available as you require them. They should give you at least one version.

RE: I just bought a AivX Storex NMT-391, help me?
i achieve to install it on my maxtor 120g but if i do the same for the samsung 500g.
The nmt starts the process of installation until 1% then it seems to be stuck on the HELLO info and black screen... i check the hdd under ubuntu and the big partition (460g) seems to be as raw thinking that could be an interrupted format.

how long should it take to the nmt to format the hardrive ?
