RE: [Android] Droided Media Tank 2.5.1 upgrade (Released on 22 May 2012)
Yeah this thing will be great for controlling the nmt when it can en-queue files and edit the queue. Right now it is just promising. Please get file en-queuing/playlist editing working please and I will gladly $support$ it straight away.

I hate that you can't stream flac files to the popcorn hour with upnp so this would be the next best thing being able to en-queue files on the nmt itself with my tablet.

Got approximately 60000 flacs on my media server and a few thousand mp3's so upnp just isn't going to cut it until they add flac to the standard.

Normally I use asset upnp and my own custom karaoke/dj software to stream to a WDTV Live but getting the popcorn hour working properly is my aim. The WD just plain sucks for anything other than a upnp renderer.

Also a 'what's playing now' screen with the elapsed/remaining time, filename etc would be great.

Great work anyway and thanks.

Just install this very nice app today....and realy enjoy, im my house every thing works great...but...

To access from the “street” to my NMT, what do I realy need to do?

Do i need to acess to the ftp? Im asking this because I have already a NAS running a FTP server on port 21.
Do i need to port forward on my router any port?

Thank you.

RE: [Android] Droided Media Tank 2.5.1 upgrade (Released on 22 May 2012)
A lot of people asked for the enqueue functionality so "add to nmt queue" will be in next release (stimated for first week of august, because of holidays).
Later it would be a list showing what is in the queue, next, previous, display (as in remote)..but AFAIK, nmt services do not allow to jump to desired indexes in the queu (just play, prev, next). I will take a look at what can be done.

If nmt services allow to enqueu flac files, DMT will also allow to enqueu them in nmt.

That is weird. Filezilla and DMT are ftp clients and they connect with the ftp server with the same ftp username so they should see the same.
Which extension are those files? How many?
Weird symbols in the folder name or any with weird symbols?
I'll take a look with your answer when I'm back

RE: [Android] Droided Media Tank 2.5.1 upgrade (Released on 22 May 2012)
Hi!
The access from outside (using a domain name) was added because it was suggested by several users.
To be honest, I'm more from software than from networks. In the FAQ I wrote about the services that allow you to do this (I remember checking dyndns documentation)
In the documentation of the dns services you can access to that information, if you need to open or redirect ports on your router and so on.
I've searched and it seems the are more threads here in nmt forum talking about accesing the nmt outside the network so it can be a big subject to discuss. I recommend you to search or open a new thread because accesing from outside is a common problem not only for DMT user.

If someone know or can help with a small.tutorial I can put in the FAQ to help other users. But, as I said, this is for advance users so advance knowlegment is necesary.

I'm sorry I can not help you with this one.

One problem that i have rigth now, the acess is made by using port 21 (ftp) and that port is already port forward in to the NAS.

I have try to change the port in the PopCorn but think that is impossible.

Cumps

Hi,

To access couchpotato with this App, I need an API. Where do I find it?

Hi,

Droided Media Tank provides easy access to all your links to NMT's apps in the same place so you can easily access to your favorite apps and html links from your Android device.

There is not any special requirement for DMT web clients. It's the same than accessing those html pages from your Android internet browser or a PC internet browser.

The information for installing CouchpotatoV2 provided in NMT Community Software Installer is:
"BEFORE installing CouchPotato, you MUST have installed "local" with C.S.I.
The interface can be found at http://PCH-IP:5050.
For Couchpotato 1.0 the interface can be found at http://PCH-IP:5000."

DMT provide just the default link to the web interface of CouchpotatoV2 so if you have questions or problems installing or accessing Couchpotato please take a look at their official thread at http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...?tid=53792, I'm sure they will help you

Hi I have everything installed on my PCH. However, the Android apps require an API key to connect to the Couchpotato server on my Pch. It should be in the settibgs, but I can't find it. Will post a question in the thread you mention above.

Thanks

Joost

Hi Viking Brain,
I just recently purchased DMT pro v 2.6. I just want to know how do I link my torrent files in my Android phone (which are in my microSD Card) using your program DMT. I was able to see the transmission GUI but when i click on the "add file" button it takes me to url page. Sorry I'm newbie in here. But if I'm using a PC I was able to add my Torrent files.

Hi epbautista!

Don't worry, everyone has been newbie sometime.
The screen you are watching is the "add file" in the Transmission web client. This transmission screen in a PC browser will allow you to open a torrent URL, file or magnet.
However, the Android web browser is limited, so in Droided Media Tank web browser you can only add torrent URL's.

To solve this "limitation" of Android browser (and also DMT web browser), it was added the "Add torrent to NMT" functionality.

To add a torrent file to Transmission you just need to click that torrent file in Android.
DMT will "detect" when a torrent file, url or magnet link has been clicked and it will offer the option "Add torrent to NMT", and you will see the DMT screen: [Image: screenshot_2.6_3.png]

You only need an Android file browser. You can use any Android file browser, some are OI File Manager (quite simple) or ES File Explorer (lot of features).
If your torrent files are in your Android (the microSD Card as you said), use any file browser to reach that folder, and then click on the torrent files. A dialog will appear with the title "Complete action using" and you will see the "Add torrent to NMT".

Thanks
