In both cases reboot fixes problems. |

RE: Why did you have to reboot your NMT?
NMT type = A200
Firmware = 02-04-110519-21-POP-411-000 (latest) -When playing a long youtube video after pausing/resuming a couple of times the image freezes and the only way out is reboot. -Also I experienced some spontaneous reboots while performing several different actions. Although it never happens while playing a file (from either internal hdd or network). |

RE: Why did you have to reboot your NMT?
NMT type = A210
Firmware = Latest (May 27 release) 1) NMJ says verifying but never ends (maybe never really started) 2) NMT/NMJ says theres no internet connection when there is. (Network is working and using WIFI. I can access NMT on my network and send/recieve files). However, I am currently having a problem where there is a constant "no internet connection" message. (I can view and install internet apps though, but can't play any one of them as it clams to have no interent connection.) Tried to reboot and it no longer fixes the problem. No longer able to update NMJ. |

RE: Why did you have to reboot your NMT?
NMT type = A210
Firmware = Latest [02-04-110519-21-POP-411 (02-04-101104-21-POP-411) (27.05.2011)] 1) NMT does not pick up (static) DHCP IP address after reboot [common issue, critical] Unfortunately, this happens very frequently after powering up. Instead of rebooting again, re-pluging the ethernet plug also helps (quickest fix, too). When in offline mode, the A-210 usually first reports "Can't resolve hostname" after trying to re-access the last used NFS share. In this state, the ethernet port is still powered, but the device is totally offline, not pingable, nothing. Stable network connectivity should be high on the priority list for a networked media tank. My A-100 never had this issue, but then again, due to limitations of the A-100, I never rebooted it in normal operations. When turning everything off, the A-100 would and could just turn off display-out. A-210 really does power down fully. In this case, true power down is sadly more pain than gain. Next, I could try to configure my Harmony to never turn off the A-210 in normal operations, instead use "PowerToggle", emulating A-100. Alas, this isn't promising at all, since then I'll probably have more issues of type 2, which are even more annoying: 2) HDMI only covers about 1/4th of the screen in the top left corner [new issue?, critical] It seems this issue happens when the last power down cycle via Harmony remote was incomplete. For some reason A-210 wasn't fully powered down, IR-signal was not received, whatever. So activating the "Popcorn activity" in the harmony sometimes (twice so far in one week) triggers this issue. Aspect ratio changes on the TV could not fix this issue. "PowerToggle" from my Harmony One neither, since this will not properly reboot the device, just toggle display-out, not unlike A-100. This issue always came with issue 1) in tow. If 1) comes with 2) only a hard reboot helps, which right now means re-plugging power. All in all, hard rebooting the A-210 seems to be a necessary fix for a number of major issues. Next up, I'll configure my Harmony to do just that, so I can hard reboot the A-210 remotely, without having to manually re-plug cabling all the time. Fortunately, all critical issues I had so far, always either show up directly after powering up, or they don't. This means getting the A-210 to a normal mode of operation is more of a hassle than it should be, but once it is up and running okay, it works flawlessly until the next power cycle (so far). |

RE: Why did you have to reboot your NMT?
NMT type = C200
Firmware = 03-04-110530-21-POP-408 unit crashed when switching from an ISO to another ISO thru USB. the spinning wheel starts, stops, then restarts and everything seems fine, except that there's only a black screen. usually happens after a freeze in the last ISO played. reboot fix the problem. this can happen several times a day, or not at all. this problem appears some firmwares ago, 'cause I never had it at the beginning (bought my C-200 in november 2009). RE: Why did you have to reboot your NMT?
NMT Type: A200
Firmware: 02-04-110519-21-POP-411 Two times the last week I left the A200 in standby (screen off) while the built in NZBget client was downloading, and left it a day or two before coming back. When I then checked, the A200 was completely frozen, and I could not access it through telnet or samba or by remote on TV. Turning it off was the only solution. When I wanted to do a checkdisk by connecting the A200 to my PC with the USB slave cable, the PC did not recognize the A200 until I rebooted it. |

RE: Why did you have to reboot your NMT?
With last firmware I'm already 3 times got crash at starting AVI playback, resulting no video at HDMI (TV reports no signal) and front indicator not display file list after pushing stop (only displaying stop symbol). After holding power on remote and restart the same file played normally. Need to mention that audio in files is DolbyDigital and C200 is set to passtrough, files are located on DVD+RW put in internal BD drive LG CH10-LS20.

RE: Why did you have to reboot your NMT?
Maybe a little late for this thread,...
... but as I mentioned in another thread http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...?tid=53237 I regularly have to reboot because I don't get an audio signal through my HDMI connection to the TV (while the audiosignal to my receiver, connected with a coaxial cable is fine). After reboot it's fine. Video signal is always fine. And no, having the coaxial cable connected to the receiver or not doesn't make a difference. Really hope to get this cleared up. NMT: C200 Firmware: latest |
